JO - Cut me so I can join Miami and win a championship ...... I would love the sight of him on the Miami bench now.  What a donkey.

Sorry about this on such a great day ... but it just hit me how great it would be to see him over there.

Lol that would be epic.  To see him on that Miami bench while we're delivering that you know what.

Not only J.O.  David West, Chris Paul, and Dwight Howard can all suck it.  Look at us now!

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

While I am very proud of our team we still haven't done ANYTHING yet.

We haven't even beaten the Heat.

Celtics are all about championships NBA championships not eastern conference ones.

Save these posts until we have the gold trophy.

Then we can hit all the haters with RED 25:18

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know our name is the Celtics when I lay my vengeance upon thee!

I have to respectfully disagree and agree. I am extremely proud of this team and this is what we had hoped for.  Them to show us their true colors - regardless of the outcome.  I would have to say they have done SOMETHING already.  They have proven everyone outside of Boston wrong.  Up 3-2 - how many 'ANALYSTS' called that?  So they have beaten the Heat - 3 times.  Need one more to vanquish them.  JO wanting to join the heat for their 'Championship' run is just what is wrong with the Heat.

I also agree with we are about championships not moral victories ... but I like this one.

If JO doesn't walk, KG doesn't play center. As it turns out, KG is the best center in basketball! Who knew?  :P I know we ALL knew, everyone knew but KG and his coaches. Weird and frustrating enough watching him play out of position for 15+ years but whatever. Bottom line is "the discovery" doesn't occur until JO has to quit and we have absolutely no one left once Wilcox goes down. So I can dream that if JO toughs it out we have a better back up but the reality is we needed this all to go down for KG to play the 5 almost ALL the time. The d is otherworldly and no 5 can guard him. If the opposing 5 is a big guy, KG can guard him in the post anyway and he can stay with him wherever he goes. If the opposing 5 is small, KG can stay with him anyway and is too long for him

So a hearty Thank You! to JO for having to quit. I don't want to mean spirited, its just that we really did need for him to walk

Only outside of Boston ?  How about those inside Boston calling for Ainge to 'blow up' this team ?  Like most on this board did pre-all star break.

Win or lose from here on out, I think you have to be proud as a Celtic fan..

Who cares what analyst say.  I care more about what fellow fans  say because you like me...actually watch this team for more than 1 particular game or series and know they have heart and pride.

I know that we have shocked most non Basketball fans outside of Boston.  But I prefer not to over react after a win.  No matter how big of a win it is.  As a fan you should know this team has a very recent history (as in as recent as the philly series when we had home court) to not close teams out when they should.

I understand what you are saying...but bottom line the job ain't done and anything short of a banner for this current team is a bust season.

So let's finish the job first

It's pretty much a fact that all that nonsense about JO was made up by some reporters.  It was explicitly denied by Danny Ainge and Jermaine himself.  He made the decision to have season ending surgery anyway.  He was a warrior for us and gave us everything he had.  He was a great influence in the locker room for the young players like Avery Bradley.  When we were cleaning house of all chemistry issues, we kept JO.  Doc called him the MVP of training camp which was a testament to the incredible hard work he put himself through to show up in shape for the season.  Please hold yourself to a higher standard and not promote made up nonsense by bored "reporters."

The only thing O'Neal sucked is when he nursed two years of paychecks on the Celtics.

In my mind O'Neal was never a Celtic.

He'd be too lazy to sit on either bench.
