I hope that if ever I have kids and my marriage is going down the dumps, my kid walks into my bedroom and yells out, "GOOD JOB, GOOD EFFORT."

Sorry I gotta pour cold water on the Heat taunts...

But the kid knows what he's talking about! I love how he's excited about the game.

That was a great game. Some ref shenanigans but not at all affecting the outcome. A nice, thrilling basketball game. Stern, this is what you should be working towards, not trying to make LeBron James MJ 2.0.

Seriously though, how great of a kid is he.  Most kids (and adults?) after watching their team lose are pouty and tantrum-ish.

He keeps his own spirits up and is thoughtful enough to cheer up his players.

It is easy for us to take the facetious interpretation of it, but there is nothing but innocence and goodwill there.

Heat fans should take heed. That's one very cool kid. He's cheering on his team even when they lose. All the Miami bandwagoners are probably busy calling them out right now. Now, we can always discuss if they've a right to do so, but I like how the kid is looking at it: The series is not over yet. There's still at least one more game. That said, I think we already broke Miami in G4, I even said so in a post.

Anyways, I like this kid's mentality.

How long before someone throws up a Youtube video laying the kid's words over footage of players that were clearly neither good jobs nor good efforts.

The seeds of character planted firmly in rich soil with that kid ... so shines a ray of light in a dark, weary world.

Not as much fun, but...

I'm pretty sure he was cheering for the Celtics - you can hear him say "good job, Ray Allen" at the end.

Not to be contrary, but after listening many times, all he says is "Good effort!" and "Good job!" ... I don't hear Ray's name at all, and there's no change in the sound graph.

right after they pass the hallway you can her his voice in the distance. Also heard the kid saying it. But still it is a good sign to see the young fans ;D

I agree was going to make a thread about a Finals matchup but I'm not going there yet, one more win but still even that don't be satisfied with trouncing Miami

He says it right at :13 of that linked video... while the annoucer says - "certainly a disappointment for James.." you can hear the kid cheering for RA in the background.

Doesn't sound like the same voice, but a TP anyway, I'll assume your ears are probably better than mine, Dave. ;)
