Normally at this point you start to hear rumblings as who the team may pick. Has anyone heard any chatter yet? Any talk on who they have liked in their workouts?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Danny Ainge and the scouting department cannot do anything. Now to help the Celtics this season. They can be as prepared as possible for next season, and that means the draft. Theyre making plans, and watching games at 8:30 with the rest of us.

How often have those rumblings proved to be correct?

So true, especially with Danny, the disinformation master.

When you think about it, unless you have the #1 or #2 pick in the draft, it behooves any team to keep things close to the vest, so teams don't know your wants and then use them to leverage you.

Why are draft work-outs not open to the public.  At least the scrimmage portion.  They could sell cheap admission.  Make a few bucks.  And we could blog about what we saw!  Win/Win for all of us would be draft day pundits!  @@

I would imagine open to the public means that there could be folks there that are in conflict with the teams interests.  Not everybody is a C's fan.

First, it would take too much work. They would have to hire extra security and other staff to support the event. They would also need appropriate venues.

Second, and more importantly, it might affect the prospects.

Third, they would have to have more formal times. Could you imagine entitled fans making annoying chants because the work-out action starts an hour later than expected and is only a two on two?

Fourth, the revenue would be negligible.
