It is what it is (to quote an esteemed fan at the game last night)  :)
The beatings will continue until morale improves

If anyone questioned Rondo's halftime statement, just listen to LeBrat after the game. "I don't foul out."

What a disaster, you let a sleeping dog lie. For Rondo to say that it will probably put Wade and Lebron into beast mode. There is a reason why the Pacers are sitting at home right now and its largely because they p---ed off Lebron and Dwade.

Yup.

Well if the fact that tomorrow night is game 5 in a tied Eastern Championship series isn't enough motivation for Bron and D, I think that tells you all you need to know about them.

I've never been a believe in the blackboard material garbage. It's the playoffs and I would think both teams come out and play as hard as the can.

And as for what Rondo said, I couldn't agree more.

Yup.
So if the Pacers don't celebrate or talk trash they suddenly are able to enter the ball against fronting defenders?

Or are able to manufacture good looks for their perimeter players? Wade was surely motivated by all the "no free throws" talk but he didn't really play much better last night.

The funny thing is that so many people are putting more into the statement than what he said. (taking it as a shot at the refs favoring Miami)

What he was saying is literally true and has been for the past two years. LBJ and Wade tend to loaf in transition D both to complain and to cherry pick for a "highlight" fast break basket if the Heat get a stop or inbound the ball quick.

Calm down.  I don't think we're scared.  Bring on "beast mode" whatever that is.  We are not the Indiana Pacers.

this.

I'm not sure what the Heat will do with this but I'm thinking this may help the C's actually.  It calls attention to the preferential treatment by the officials to the Heat and their expectation to get every call.  Also, hopefully it calls attention to the looks/glares/gestures Wade/Bron shoot at the officials that are tech-worthy.

If nothing else, maybe it'll cut down on the whining and get the Heat to accept call/non-calls that aren't in their favor

I don't even know if that is possible.

I am not worried about this statement providing additional motivation but if their complaining was leading to us getting easy baskets, why do you want to highlight it?  Now that Rondo has made this remark, the Heat will scrutize the film more closely and definitely be less likely to give up an easy basket due to complaining.

When even one possession can decide a game or a series, there is just no reason to help out the other team.

So does anyone have any idea what was said in the post game talk between Rondo and the lady reporter?  Rondo looked upset, which I think says something about his hard to work with personality but I haven't heard an analysis of what happened.
