Broussard and Steven A Smith are the  Sheila Jackson Lee 's of Sports

Celtics haters for all the wrong reasons.

I'm not a fan of either steven i smith or broussard...But they aren't racists.  While wrong a lot on basketball...They're at least both understandable.

I'd say jamele hill is a much better comparison to lee.  They're both racists incapable of constructing a coherent thought.

Smith is like a character actor.  He sounds nothing like steven i smith when he's not on ESPN.

The fact that Jemele Hill writes about issues revolving around race does not make her a racist.  That's quite the claim you are making.
True.  But I believe hill is a racist.  Her commentary is always over the top, but it often takes a hate filled turn when dealing with white athletes and a much softer view of black athletes in near similar positions.

I'll admit to never hearing about her until I read about her in this post.  I've done some quick research through Google, read a couple of her articles, and didn't find anything hate filled or racist.

If you have seen something that fits that description, it would be helpful if you could provide some kind of citation to back up that claim.

I would also agree with the Jamele Hill being a racist.  I definitely see those tons when discussing specific athletes on ESPN.

Perhaps jamele should dig deep into her imagination and create something out of nothing...And then malign Woods for doing the opposite.....

lol...If the illiterate one can somehow....In her thymbol-sized mind equate Celtic fans with Hitler publicly...It stands to reason to wonder what kind of incoherent sharptonesque thoughts go through her mind privately.

The illiterate one sees no excuse for William's comment...I guess I don't either.   I would tend to take Woods at his word on this...Much ado about nothing.

However....I see no excuse for ESPN subjecting their audience to this blithering idiot...

Just said the Battier 3 should've been and-1 in the most bitter voice I've ever heard.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Kind of funny, in the game thread at Peninsula Is Mightier, a poster complained about Broussard because he apparently said, "I love Rondo."

well it should have been an and-1.  Pretty clear foul on that one that wasn't called.

She has been suspended for race related comments in the past.  She even wrote a column on ESPN because she got so many comments about her being a racist.  http://espn.go.com/espn/commentary/story/_/page/hill-110914/readers-question-jemele-hill-columns-race

I've seen her on enough ESPN programs to believe her to be a racist.  Just my overall feeling and I certainly could be wrong.

You get what you deserve if you watch ESPN.   It's hype not news.  The louder and more opionated you are the most they like you.  Gone are the days of witty sports reporting and in with the talking heads.   I won't watch it but to check scores.

It biased and league centric  in all it's coverage.

I read both of the articles and still don't see any indication that Jemele Hill is a racist. I'm in doubt that you understand what the word means.

Jamele Hill reminds me of Spike Lee.  They both are race baiting trolls.

Yeah, I don't see it either.  You may not like what she said, but it's not racist.
