Broussard probably picked the Heat in 5.  Just protecting his prediction I guess.

ESPN is a business.  They have the Heat Index because people go to it and it makes ESPN money.  Period.

This as far as ESPN's Heat coverage goes.  People read it.  If they didn't, it wouldn't exist.

But for Broussard, dude just goes where the favorite is and suckles at that teat.  Always has.  Last night before the game Wilbon picked the C's and he said something like "You know you want to pick the Heat" and it's like dude, maybe he doesn't?  Ugh.  Just get off it for a second.

Nothing new here though.

And let's be clear, ESPN the news organization is a lot different than ESPN the editorial organization and sports broadcast network.  Pre-games, post-games, shows like PTI, etc. are editorials, they aren't news and aren't meant to be.  Too many people just can't separate the two things.

It is the same at foxnews, cnn, msnbc, etc.  Even the local news has news and other stuff.  The other stuff by and large brings in the dollars because it is entertaining.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Broussard is by far my least favorite member of ESPN... I actually think Id rather watch Skip Bayless, its a close call.

I actually love Skip Bayless. He's one of the only reporters/pundits who don't kiss up to players and is critical regardless of who it is. And I love his logic

He tells people who he loves and isn't afraid by it. Can't say that for the other reporters on ESPN

???

Bayless's logic protocol:

1. Determine the most contrarian or reactionary position possible
2. Shout Loudly
3. Repeat

He's the Jay Marrotri of ESPN, a hack who screams to get attention.

I don't think he's a contrarian. He sticks by his picks from preseason and doesn't flip flop

He never changes alot of stuff:
-He's always been critical of Lebron's "clutch gene"
-Picked the Heat to win the title and doesn't back down from it
-Loves the Spurs
-Loves Tebow
-Loves Dwyane Wade
-Thinks Derrick Rose and Westbrook are ruining their teams by being shoot-first point guards
-Says Durant is his favorite player

And I love how animated he is, gives a personality in sports. And no one can deny his funny metaphors

I like Chris Broussard. He does seem to tilt a LITTLE against BOS, but for the most part I like his commentary.

With that being said, IF he truly hates BOS, he'd better stop watching them play over the next few weeks........

They ain't going away quietly. Just turn off your set, Chris, on Tuesday, Thur and possibly Saturday of this week.

And don't watch BOS during the next series, either. IF BOS can pull of this upset, which I firmly believe they can, BOS has a REAL shot at hoisting Banner 18 this month.

He sticks with whatever hyperbolic attention getting position he screams first.

That's not logic, its just consistent hackery. A good analyst can change his mind if the facts or evidence changes in front of him.

Even if you agree with his positions you should be able to see that if you listen/read good sports writers/analysts.

Speakng of Stephen A, wow at that Prometheus trailer with him last night.  **** was that?  I think that movie looks fantastic but it seems like they've spent $1 billion on ads and I don't think it'll be that big of a movie.  That ad was just bizarre.

Yes, because he assumed that Wade and James were going to coninue to combine for about 70 a game like they did in the last 3 games of the Pacers series.

Yep.  And like I pointed out in another thread today...we are not the Indiana Pacers.

The only real difference between Broussard and steven i smith is the drawl and delivery.  Between broussard, smith, and the illiterate jamele hill you could fit the combined sports knowledge in a thymbol.  earvin adds even less...He's so absorbed in his own narcissism...Any coherent thought that comes out of his mouth is either wrong or a cliche'.

Bring Stan VanGundy or Reggie Miller to replace earvin.  Hell...Mike Brown or George Karl.
