Nuggets Targeting Royce White With No. 20 Pick

Denver is reportedly targeting Royce White with the twentieth pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

White’s draft stock went up after scoring 23 points and grabbing nine rebounds in Iowa State's 87-71 loss against Kentucky in the NCAA South Regional.

White’s size and versatility have drawn comparison to a young Jamal Mashburn.

Ugh, I really want the c's to draft this kid. He's going to be a player, but I don't see them trading up to grab him .

Many mocks have Denver going after a point guard to either take Dre's place or be his understudy. Marquis Teague is the name most often mentioned in mocks for Denver. Other drafts have Teague going later.

If Denver takes White and Teague is the BPA, I take him, despite his redundancy at that position. DraftNet has him as the 3rd best pg.

I think that we could do better than White myself.

I'd be psyched if we got him and would hope that his obvious talent would translate but, if a team like Denver were to reach for him then a talented prospect would then have to drop to us.

from what ive found it looks like White has worked out for

Miami, Indiana, and Memphis recently.

If the Cs want him I think he will be there.


I personally think there are to many talented players to take on the risks that come with White in the first round.

aside from the anxiety and off court issues. He isnt a shooter, doesn't have a position, and hasn't shown the ability to play without the ball.

I agree.  I know NBA players aren't necessarily boy scouts, but Danny should be coming away with a key component for the next generation.  Not only do I doubt White's ability to play in the NBA at that level, I just don't like the multiple theft convictions in reformulating the clubhouse.
