http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1203194-2012-nba-mock-draft-how-the-entire-first-round-will-shake-out

G'day Celticsblog, being one of our resident draft draft trolls I am constantly looking for the best way for the Celtics to spend their 2 first round picks.

While I am not sure where the loyalties of the the Bleacher Report writer Roberto Payne actually lie,(my guess is that the Gentleman has ties to the Houston Area)I can say that he has put together the most well thought out and "agreeable" mock draft that I have seen to date.

Payne has the mighty Dion Waiters falling to us with a minor reach for Fab Melo as our second pick. While I personally believe that players like Wroten, Marshall, Teague have absolutely no business being taken over him (Chad Ford has Toronto Considering him with the 8th Pick) I would take Waiters and run and then perhaps try to trade a few spots back to grab Melo. Forget even the second round, this draft would be a homerun.

The BPA option of scooping up Waiters would allow us to draft for need with the second first, and allow a true center with the size, athleticism and attitude that fit our team's current philosophy to fall into our lap.

While I believe that Waiters himself will be long gone after the workouts are through, this scenario is an example of how I want Danny to draft...

1st Pick = Best Player available(Waiters, Q Miller, Harkless, Wroten, Ross, Leonard or Moultrie)
2nd Pick = Fill a glaring hole on the roster.(Melo? Nicholson?Ezeli? Teague? R White?)

Thoughts on both the current scenario and my best case scenario? Personally myself I hope we end with Waiters and Moultrie.

Great visual and analytical breakdown for Waiters and Melo

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Booo to Dion Waiters. Yay to Evan Fournier + trading back for someone only Danny knows about.

In Danny I trust of couse but I'm confused as to why you would want a random Euro to stash instead of a potential starting SG?

I'd be surprised if Fornier came over within 2 years, and I get the vibe that Euros mesh poorly with our team as currently constructed.

Just in the last couple years we've lost Semih and Krstic, and we always seem to get up for the Raptors when we play them.

I want nothing to do with a Euro in this locker room unless he's a likable goof like Pietrus. Chemistry is too important to this team.
