4th quarter, 3rd forced feed to KG down low,  3rd conversion for Miami.  No timeout by Doc to stop the nonsense.  Rondo, breaks the mold and takes it to the hoop saving the day and making Doc look like a genius.

Got to learn from Marquis play book.  Just cut to the basket!!!

So that means we didn't need a timeout, right?

Rondo is the one making a lot of the bad decisions. It was about time he changed it up.

I think in the 4th, they went with Pietrus for his floor spacing honestly.

while Pietrus hadn't played a good game, theres still the threat of him hitting a perimiter shot...Quisy's game thrives in the paint

As you stated, the advantage of having Pietrus on the floor is his perimiter shooting, except his numbers are rather abysmal.

Daniels style of play lead to inherently higher percentage shots and keeps the defense honest so as to avoid an emphasis on defending our perimiter shooters (i.e. Allen).

I was very peeved with Petey being in the game in the 4th last night. Daniels has a huge huge 3rd quarter for us, gets taken out and then Petey plays a majority of the 4th. Gets torched twice on two big defensive plays and contributes nothing to the offensive end... I love Petey, but come on, you have to reward the guy who is playing out of his mind in that game. Daniels was that guy, you gotta stick with it in the moment.

I think we can use Quis as sort of a poor man's Avery Bradley (now who would have ever thought that would be a phrase that didn't make one laugh out loud).   Quis can play good D on 2s and 3s, cut well, has a decent mid-range shot, and possibly hit a corner 3.   None of that as well as Avery, but I think there's a role for him rest of this series.

They need to keep getting Pietrus some time, bs he can hit 3s (well, sort of...).  That spacing is important.

Will be interesting to see the rotations next game...

I don't think Quis is anything like Bradley. We will use him differently. Quis is not going to apply pressure on the ballhandler.

Quis cannot hit the corner 3. He just has herky-jerky moves in the lane.

  • You say when......
Marquis and Sasha.....two guys who should be in more or should have while pp was hurt and Ray was struggling.....even still, they should be given a try to cover wade and lebron....Ray hitting a three now and then does not erase Wades strong contributions.....and as we saw, marquis controlling lebron changed the whole game.....!Ray, pp and even kg have great D MOMENTS...but not sustained D...that is why the heat continue to get easy baskets in close......I also think DOC should remind himself of when he went ZONE on miami and shut them out of the paint....with rondo and doolin up top, we can cover the outside 3......

The problem with having quis on the floor is that he may actually hurt the offense (and the other players) because of his inability to shoot.  If the other team game plans for him, the offense will be squeezed.

Quisey should be playing, for one reason , he is HEALTHY .  Pietrus is a better player when is 100% , but he an't .

I think we have so many cripples out there ...even Dooling and Quis are looking better.  They have good fresh legs and are making an impact with hustle alone.

I supect the mega minute WADE and LABRICKSTER are having to play in order to keep the cHeat in the game , when we put in Dooling and Quis ..it really puts the pressure on tired HEAT supers.

I would put a continueoeus rotation of fresh people on Wade and LeBron .   DOn't give them a break using tired guys ,  even fresh guys that noramlly can't guard the Stars can make it hard on the tired legs of the stars .

I'd include Sasha in there as well, though by now he may be like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz and need some oil to work the rust out of his (otherwise healthy) joints.

Yeah, I thought the reason we kept Quisy and Sasha this season and picked up Pietrus was to match up and wear down opposing wings in this series.

Doc just admitted on the news that he is making a big mistake....well, he didn't exactly say that but it plays into my argument...he said that pp is going to have a tough time both covering lebron and being a big scorer..WELL DUH...THAT is why you don't waste your best player covering their best player...esp if he is old by hoop standards.....that is why you give pp an EASIER defensive assignment....and put marquis or sasha on lebron......he is a very odd coach......the reason the players like him is that he lets them do whatever they like to do......???
