I hope we continue attacking down low we aren't going to beat these guys with jumpshots, long rebounds off misses gets them running on the break. Its like we finally decided we can actually get in the post and be productive, the refs see you working down there bumping and grinding and you give yourself a chance to get a call and to the line (with all jump shots forget about it). I thought this was interesting we haven't scored this much paints in the paint since 2008.

Quote
The Heat have a 2-1 lead in the series, but are coming off Friday's 101-91 loss to Boston. The Celtics exposed the Heat's lack of interior depth by pounding the ball inside to Kevin Garnett, who finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Boston scored 58 points in the paint, its most in a playoff game since 2008.

It depends how they defend us. They will probably make adjustments. Surprising opponents is often helpful.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more pick and pop action if they stop fronting so hard.

I wonder if they'll go to that LBJ at the 5 line up again.

I hate when they put Lebron at the 5.  He always seems to be lowering his body and basically backing the legs out from under whatever legitimate 5 he is playing against in the post.  Drives me batty that he gets away with that.

Agreed.

1. Stay in the paint with KG

2. Almost as critical - Rondo and PAUL PIERCE have to attack, attack attack the rim. It can't only be Rondo - Pierce must get / stay aggressive going to the rim.

The Heat have no answers for any of the above defensively.

I thought that one of the reasons that the Heat were making a comeback was because they were concentrating too hard on getting the ball to KG against the smaller lineup. It took us out of our offense and the Heat were trapping on him and deflecting some of the passes to him.

gotta get KG in the post. there is no one who can defend him on the Heat...

in game 2, I thought he played way too much on the perimiter which is why he didnt have a big game.

also would like to see more of those cutting plays for Daniels

Exactly. You don't want to lose sight of the fact that the attack mode created a bunch of those paint points.

Then, in the fourth we quit attacking for the most part and laid down entirely on the defensive end against the Heat small ball.

Agreed.

In the paint, where the big girls like to hang out! They hide their sandwiches down there!!

Seriously, if we play like we did in game 4, we win. Period. Get it done, fellas. Get it done.
