From game 3 Doc Rivers have to learn that.

1. is very efficent to use beach players in some situation when starting line up is not doing well
2. Dooling can shut down Chalmers
3. Daniels can be a great defender Vs Wade or Lebron
4. in offensive issues, is important to send ball to the paint, close to the rim,  where KG can make big plays
5. Cs have to manage more wisely point advantages and to use efficwently 24 second of possesion
6. slow offensive actions in some situations are creating big problem(start point of our turnovers)
7. Lebron to to be defended close body to body, and do not defend him in distance, givig him more space to penetrate

I agree. I really hope last night's game shows Doc that he needs to have confidence in his bench and use them!! This was 'Quis' first legit playoff game this playoffs. And by Doc putting him in for that long, he contributed greatly through his D, with a couple of steals.
Yeeeaaaa!!!

I'd like to also see Pavlovic in the game as well, seeing as Pietrus has been relatively useless this entire playoffs.

REMEMBER...We did a ZONE defense that shut miami out during the reg season..THINK = no easy INSIDE BASKETS.....missed defense assignments..those big hole swoops in by wade, lebron and turiaf getting too many points.....zone fixes that.....doc did it during the season..it worked too...can always try it...and if not stop it then....
No picks to free chalmers or wade or lebron....

Nice list and the last point is VERY crucial and not just for LBJ the entire team you got to body them up oh and keep trapping Wade and denying him the ball that's been on point

He probably will try it at some point but you have to remember we have had NO practice...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

well, yes...but that is for small timers.....what i mean is who is this coach....are these pro's or are they new to this stuff....go zone.....i know guys who play AFTER work....and can go zone in a flash...cover thier area and rotate well...basketball does take thought..but it is not rocket science.....at some point....well..if he doesn't snap too it..he will have plenty of time for thinking and practice...all summer long....that is the toughest part about coaching....tick, tick, tick.....your experience is what got you here....now put it inot action..RIGHT NOW.....yes it is pressure....but that is what it is......and i am not picking on you/your post.....i just get crazy about doc and his ....things....

and what about THE PRESS..it works...maiami HAS NO REAL POINT GUARDS....not great at bringing the ball up.....and the other thing is watch when they do...where is the guy with the ball in relation to the rest of the team....they are all around the paint......all you have to do is stall and trap them for 10 seconds.....= TURNOVER...then....they cannot go setup anymore...you just changed their game plans.....THAT is how you keep them reeling....out of sync..then whining and infighting...THAT IS COACHING.....

lebrons going to get his 30+ points, the key really is limiting wade from going off...I think the C's have doen a really good job of making him uncomfortable..

lets also remember that wade's knee isnt exactly 100%, he got it drained 2 weeks ago. that knee could be starting to degress to where it was

After Lebron Cs have to take care to defend Miller and Chalmers

In nearly all of the games we have won in the playoffs, Garnett has had in the range of 24-28 points.  The exceptions were the game that Bass had 27 and I think a game where Pierce had 36.

So key number one is easy, KG has to be on.  So far in the playoffs, he has been on about every other game.  In lieu of KG, if Bass can have his one big game, that could do it.  I don't see Pierce having a big numbers game as Miami is focusing on him and he is getting into foul trouble and expending energy covering LeBron.

Of course there are others that could have a big game like Bass did.  I think it could be Ray Allen or even Dooling or Pietrus or someone like that that comes in and runs off say 3 or 4 3 pointers.

But in addition to someone having a big game, it is equally important that none of the key guys (PP, KG, RR) have a bad game.  They have all at least have a good game.  It is tough, Miami is a good team.  There is very little room for error on our part.

Re: The list.

I don't agree on defending James at all. Bodying him up will make him a driver. I want no part of him attacking the rim on every possession.

I'm content to force him to score as a jump shooter.

Miller deserves credit for toughing it out. He clearly is hobbled by what looks to be a rather severe back injury, and yet is still providing significant contributions to that team.
