I saw transcripts of his comments with the expletives removed, but found an uncensored version of the video

Everytime I see KG on the court, I feel blessed that he came to Boston.  He is one of a kind.

LOL I love KG!!

The day he retires is going to be a sad one. He's truly one of a kind...there will never be another.

My 9 year old daughter had started getting into the Celtics more.  I think she hears a lot about players from kids at school.  Last night she asked me if Rondo was kinda weird.  I told her, Yeh.  He's moody."  She asked any of the other players were weird.  I told her KG does some pretty crazy stuff out there on the court to get himself and the crowd pumped up, but off the court he seems pretty normal.

Minutes later she was cracking up when KG started doing push ups!

I tried to describe to her the whole Tiger Crouch defensive stance thing.

KG's got a big heart.  He seemed to really be relishing the scene last night.
Yup

I thought the pushups was a positive way to channel his anger.   Exercise really helps with that kind of energy.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Personally I thought the pushups were corny. I was at a bar (that I will go to for the remainder of the Celtics games because its good luck now) when it happened, and when KG started doing the pushup routine someone said "That's dumb and annoying. That's why I hate KG"

"That's what he was going for." I responded.

I thought the push-ups were awesome.  My only thought at the time was, "wow, what a beast?!"

Love his comments about the crowd from last night and I love how he frequently throws his appreciation for the Boston fans out there.  Perhaps it's because the appreciation is mutual.

KG was doing it to annoy the Heat. Dude at the bar isn't a Celtic fan if he hates KG.  You shoulda jumped him and thrown him out of the bar.

I think KG is a pretty genuine guy. Sometimes it looks like he is doing this stuff for show but I wouldn't be surprised to see him at a pick up game at the YMCA doing the same thing.

Oh man 100% genuine. 100% real. There is no way you can artificially create that passion....

Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. What other player has this kind of emotion? I can't imagine going to work everyday loving it so much. KG is one of a kind. The NBA will be a lesser league when KG retires.
