Lil Wayne, the drug addled, faux gangster, wanna be Hendrix that he is, played the race card.

Says that's why he was denied a ticket. Cuz that makes sense.

Ugh, I really hate when people use the race card for an excuse to get what they want. Not a fan of him, but seeing that he did this makes me not like him even more. Smh.
Yeeeaaaa!!!

How Lil Wayne can act like this and think anyone would feel sympathy for him is beyond me. He only embarrassed himself making a big fuss about this. The 'lil' part of his name is very apt indeed. Maybe it refers to his IQ?

If I had a chance to beat the living crap out of any one person on the planet it would be this poser.

I want to say I'm thoroughly impressed with Celticsblog and all the people who spoke in this thread that see this pathetic loser for what he really is, as opposed to the large percentage of the America who must have some sort of brain damage causing them to accept the fool.

I swear Nicki Minaj and Kevin Federline had a kid.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

The poster lost all credibility regarding this subject when he wrote that Wayne was an awful rapper.

I think the opposite is true. If you think Lil Wayne is good hip-hop then you don't know what good hip-hop is. I'm talking Em before 8-mile, Talib with Mos, AZ, Mega, Wu. "Lil" (how played out was "Lil" 5 years before he burst onto the scene anyway?) Wayne is 100% pure garbage.

I've been a casual fan of hip hop since before there was hip hop (think Gil Scott-Heron).  You might not be a fan of Wayne, but to call him "awful" is a big stretch.

The guy has been so prolific that at least some of his stuff is going to not be great, but Wayne is clever and has great flow.  He's not awful by any stretch.

Is he an idiot to think that an NBA franchise is going to bend over backwards to give him front row tickets at the last second?  Yes.  Did he get a lot of publicity about this topic, Yes.  Is that what performers are supposed to do, get free publicity?  Yes.

Does race have anything to do with it?  The OKC owners suck, but until they give Wayne Newton free front row tickets at the last minute, I'm not going to go there.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Not sure how many of you Wayne critics have listened to all his albums. Of course he has some bubble gum stuff and softer, less masterful work, but he is loaded because of that stuff.

I am a fan of a lot of hip hop from Tupac, Jay Z, De La soul, J Dilla, dmx, Plies...the list goes on.
Little Wayne has found a niche in hip-pop and he makes a lot more money now than 10 years ago when he was strictly hip hop.

Listen to every song on his last 4 albums and there are some 100% classics on them.

I find it funny that the Thunder guys all listen to Wayne before the games but he couldn't get a front row seat.

Just as a side note, I'm pretty sure that Wayne doesn't write anything down, he thinks up verses and then records them without the use of paper or notation, might explain the randomness of some of his verses.
I think he has the best puns and punch lines in hip hop too.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

If he is such a big star as he thinks he is ...and sooooo rich ...then why doesn't he buy his cheap/trash self a ticket like.

IMO ...his musical talent is worth a BUS TICKET  to downtown Boston.

Lil Wayne, take lessons

Rakim is my favorite rapper of all time! He is so smooth. I'm an old school rapper girl.  Not too much into the new stuff.

If he promised to stop trying to make music ...maybe we'll see about getting him a ticket.

I'm with that...Calling that music is an insult to music.

Having been to OKC every year that the C's have played there...The OKC owners do not suck.  It's as fun a place to watch a game as I've ever been to.  And they don't have a bunch of idiots in the audience chanting BS when a call doesn't go their way.  In our Celtics garb...We're ribbed but treated like anybody else.  LOUD LOUD fans and a fun place to see a game.  Both when the Hornets were there and with the Thunder.

I have no idea why they'd want to give a vile rapper a front row ticket in a family-oriented atmosphere.
