How can anyone not call the refs out?

Those calls were blatant and missed by ALL of them.

Not to mention that the Heat stars were able to get to the line without much hindrance....in fact they were basically carried there by there refs.

well, theres alot of fans who would like to put their heads in the sand and say its "rediculous" for anyone to call out the refs.

facts are facts

24free throws for ONE player to 29for a whole TEAM.

6Technicals to the Heat to 27for their opponents..

If I was trying to guard LeBron (probably the most impressive physical freak in the league since Shaq in his prime) I'd probably have to foul him a lot too.  Not surprised that Pierce (with a sprained MCL) has to resort to hacking the dude either.

Anyone got a video of the fouls that sent LeBron to the line?  It's enough of an issue with you guys that you'd think someone would just look at them one-by-one.  Chances are, you'll realize almost all of them were legitimate fouls.  Sometimes we were tying him up before he barely even got past half-court.  Guy is a beast.

That's like saying let's look at every Lebrinda "non-foul" on other players, maybe he NEVER commits enough fouls to ever foul out of a game... something that seems IMPOSSIBLE for every other human being playing the game that much, besides him! I mean, I bet if I go back and look at film I guarantee I can find enough fouls within rules that he commits that should have him fouling out but again, he is the "greatest defender of all time" he can never commit more than 1-2 fouls a game no matter what he does!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

And I'm sure you would tell me that he also defends our guys without fouling ever? That's the real concern in my eyes. He went to the line 24 times and committed 2 fouls all game, thats impossible without blatant superstar favoritism by the refs. I'm sure all 24 were legit... but I'm sure Lebron fouled our guys as well in the same manner without being called.

Im not sure how its not clear to anyone that watches basketball that the league has superstar double standards...always has been, and that the Heat go into the game already with a  15 FT advantage..JUST because its wade/Lebron

before it was Kobe, the Heat/Mavs finals(in 2006) was probably one of the worst officiated finals where wade got tons of phantom calls on him, so its nothing new...

but as long as we the fans put our heads in the ground and ignore it, nothing will change. and IMO nothing will change until stern steps down and they clear house/hire a brand new batch of refs

there were also 2 fouls on Pierce where he simply stood behind Lebron on entry passes.

One right before half while w/ Miami in bonus = more LBJ ft's.

add in the one he fouls out on, going straight up on a DWade layup & you've got yourself a superstar recieving 3 phantom calls relegating him to the bench.

How many did LBJ finish with again?  Has he ever even fouled out in his career?

I'll point just 1 out that wasn't legitimate and then get to my point....when LBJ and Rondo both went for the ball and he's practically lying on top of Rondo they called the foul on Rondo when it clearly should have been on James, he went to the free throw line on that call.

The issue is not the number of legitimate fouls(and all were not) called on the Celtics,it is how many legitimate calls against Miami were missed or never called by the officials. Listening to most of the "Miami cheerleading squad" formerly known as ESPN & NBATV analysts and commentators, and even Celtics fans that chose to take the "high road" of dismissing the unfair officiating one would be led to believe that we did nothing but shoot jumpshots most of the night which is what led to such a glaring free throw disparity & that simply is not the case. As it was pointed out in another thread here, the difference between our attacks to the basket & theirs was: Celtics 25 to Miami's 26.
Rondo was not the only Celtic attacking the basket yet somehow (if my memory serves me correctly) he was 1 of only 3 players from our team to get to the free throw line at all in the 1st half. When Pierce, Bass, etc were attacking the basket there was just as much contact as there was when the Heat were getting calls yet the officials were swallowing their whistles. On that 'oh so great' "block" that DirtyWade had on Ray there was clearly a foul that was not called as well as when LBJ "blocked" Rondo & knocked him to the ground & there really is no need to debate the most obvious DirtyWade non-call on Rondo in OT with momentum swinging in our favor, and that's just to name a few.

We as NBA fans ( for me not so much so after the last many years of blatant fixing of games in favor of a chosen few teams) & more importantly as Celtics fans should not just arbritrarily dismiss the obvious bias of the refs towards the annointed winner of NOTHING simply to avoid being labeled a whiner, homer or hater.

LBJ is a great stat stuffer, and even a great player, but not nearly as great as people try to make him out to be IMHO.  He's the NBA's cash cow right now,so for them, that appearantly warrants him getting called for a mere 2 fouls per game while being touted as a great defender and whether on legitimate calls or not being able to go to free throw line 24 times in a playoff game. If anyone wants to chock it up to him being a "beast", fine, have at it.....I on the other hand believe what my eyes are telling me & where there's smoke there is fire when it comes to this officiating thing.

The league has always promoted him and subsidized his scoring  and protected him.  He walks all the time here is a rule that everyone else gets dinged on but not him.

Quote

RULE NO. 11-BASKETBALL INTERFERENCE-GOALTENDING

Section I-A Player Shall Not:
a. Touch the ball or the basket ring when the ball is using the basket ring as its lower base.
EXCEPTION: If a player near his own basket has his hand legally in contact with the ball, it is not a violation if his contact with the ball continues after the ball enters the cylinder, or if, in such action, he touches the basket.
b. Touch the ball when it is above the basket ring and within the imaginary cylinder.
c. For goaltending to occur, the ball, in the judgment of the official, must have a chance to score.
d. During a field goal attempt, touch a ball after it has touched any part of the backboard above ring level, whether the ball is considered on its upward or downward flight.
e. During a field goal attempt, touch a ball after it has touched the backboard below the ring level and while the ball is on its upward flight.

How many layups does LeBron block after the ball touches the backboard.   I see a few each game.

Happens all the time he blocks balls that touch the backboard and no call.   Anyone else that is two points for the other team.   I think the whole league gets away with stuffing balls in the cyclinder a few times a game. Even some opps so offensive is loose for most of the league but defensive is do what you will LeBron and a no no for the rest of the league.

another missed call was a goal-tending call where Lebron slapped the glass after his missed blocking Rondo's layup ...

Rondo's layup spun off the rim b/c of the slap on the backboard.

I remember one like that in the first quarter.  It was real annoying listening to one of the announcers comment about Rondo hearing footsteps... as if whacking the crap out of the backboard is ok.
