Suspicion would be my word to use over fixed... i didnt vote because i am completely undecided on the topic. I dont wanna believe, but kinda sorta completely believe that at least this year it was fixed.

Last year with LeBron leaving and Cleveland getting picks #1 and #4 was fishy also.

I think the Charlotte Bobcats got screwed out of a #1 pick, being the worst team in NBA History. Lottery be danged.

One thing that gets me is, why can't we watch the actual lottery pick live rather than watching them hand out envelopes.  Why can't we see the numbers come up in the box for ourselves?  And why do we even have a lottery in the first place?

Sure teams would tank but it works in the NFL.  Worst team picks first.  Easy peasy, move on with our basketball lives.

People think the Hornets winning was rigged, but they'd be saying the same thing if the Nets won.  Or the Cavs (it's all about LeBron) or the Kings (leverage for a new arena or to leave town) or the Blazers (do-over for the rigged Oden draw), or even the Bobcats (favor to Jordan), etc etc.  When you start with a vague, broad conclusion and seek evidence to fit it, it's really easy to "find" that evidence all around you.

Who cares about the Kings potentially new Arena? Cavs and LeBron already got #1 and #4 picks last year for him leaving. They didn't NEED more this year, especially with K. Irving. Blazers were not bad enough to justify the luck and Oden pick was too long ago -- 6 years. Chris Paul/Hornets was the only one with enough weight to matter.

What about the Nets?  I heard more about them than Charlotte...

Plus, you don't address the how of the conspiracy.

One thing I don't get, why does the actual lottery happen behind close doors before results get broadcasted to the public?
Anything is possible!!!

Anything Stern has his hands on could be fixed.   Closed doors, practice draws until the league gets what they want.

I addressed the NOH's "how" in this back in Feb., 2012:

Nets make the most sense of the rest but they didn't lose a major young superstar and the NY/Brooklyn Market is large enough as it is so they don't need the #1 pick as bad.

I totally trust the league on this.  I find them to be very trustable along with the government, the UN, the Church, the military, politicians, compulsive gamblers and addicts, corporations, groups with agendas, the mafia, those Siri commercials that seem too good to be true, lobbyists, well respected auditing firms, the royal family, Sith Lords, and kids that say "plllleaaasssseee" really charmingly. Oh yeah. How could I have forgotten? NBA refs. How could I have forgotten?

I agree there was nothing faked in the Gulf of Tonkin, our government never gave citizens syphilis. We have never spyed on our citizens, gave Indians blankets with smallpox or broke an Indian treaty.   Every one knows you can always trust the authority especially when it is transparent and in the open.

I also admit I find Bigfoot to be by far the most likely to exist of the cryptozoological animals. Followed by sea monsters

Easy now. There are some military people here who have done a lot for our country.

I was in the military.  I recall one time we told 3 sets of parents their kids died in a training accident rather than in the DUI they did.   A white lie but a lie none the less.

aren't all lottery drawings in general done under public watch?  Like mega millions is televised.... wasn't the military draft lottery broadcasted on radio/tv back then?  Yet the NBA lottery isn't drawn live.....

Sounds shady to me.
