Jeff Green gone
Chris Wilcox gone
Jermaine O'Neal gone
Avery Bradley gone

Pierce, Allen, Pietrus, Stiemsma all playing at varying levels of dinged up.

Still here we are in the ECF.

I will tell you what, I have watched this team for thirty years and I have never been more proud of them. We may not win the title this year, things sure do not look good at this point but this team will go down in Celtics history as one of the most resilient, flexible and tough-minded teams ever.

I am also fine with this team going forward. We have picks, tons of money and a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing (do not pardon my French) brilliant point guard to build around.

No matter what happens, I am looking forward to watching this team for another thirty years because of this organizations performance this year.

Thank you Boston Celtics. Thank you very much.

Last night showed a lot of gerard but I disagree with your post.

The Celtics beat 2 inferior teams that they were favored heavily against and now they are on the ECF against a team missing their 3rd best player. If they weren't in this position it would be pretty embarrassing.

Want to talk about heart and you can't look past 2010. I don't even think I need to explain how much more impressive that was

The loss of those guys are killing the C's depth right now. They would be extremely helpful, because they're hustle players, defenders and athletic except for JO of course. I just thought the C's went away from their defensive intensity. They stop boxing out, mind-scratching fouls, double-teaming and getting back on transition defense.

In order to tie this series the Celtics have to be consistent all 48 mins and not just 2 quarters, because that lack of effort is not going to cut it against Miami or any team. As far as the refs, it is what it is, when you're playing against a hyped and glorified team u have play around that.

Few things after a short sleep:

1. This team misses Bradley the most in this series. He would change everything defensively vs Wade. My bet is with him, the Heat would struggle

2. Paul Pierce is hurt a lot worse than we know. All the way back to the Sixers series. He is just is gutting it out.

3. Ray Allen when healthy can still help a team win a title.

4. I would have liked to see this team with green, wilcox, bradley, allen and PP all healthy vs Miami. Cs would win in 5 or 6

5. Miami will get destroyed by the Spurs. They cannot contain Parker and the spurs have depth

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Im really proud of where they are right now, even with all the injuries we had.

It's not over yet, but this is a great season they're having.

The Celtics are obviously better than the Hawks and Sixers, but I wouldn't call them inferior. They were both the 2 of the top 5 defensive teams in the league. Give them credit for actually competing against two extremely athletic teams that defends just as good.

Not sure how to respond to that? Bosh, is their third best player, but Wade and James are much superior offensive and defensive players. It seems that both Wade and James have played much better without Bosh, not sure how long they can keep it up.

Look, i'm not your typical pessimistic Celtics fan, but with all the C's went through this season with all the up and down and season ending injuries to key players, for the C's lose their bench depth and still make it ECF, then hey!

If we are going to discuss how what we are seeing portends for the future, its clear Rondo's jumper and ft shooting have improved and may now be good enough. If he is or will soon be a better than average shooter, he will be one of if not the best players in the game. If he doesn't show up every night but almost always does in the playoffs, thats good enough for me.

We saw what Bradley was becoming. These 2 guys are going to destroy most teams by themselves. Sorry for the hyperbole but imho its true.

You are almost certainly going to have Jeff Green running with them. I realize a lot of folks here don't care about him but we are talking about a long athletic big who runs like a gazelle and will be on the floor with Rajon and Avery. Thats a good combo. he will learn to play d well. I believe that.

KG and PP probably have 2 ok to good years left. PP really not having that much trouble with Bron. Its hard to replace that, so lets not and make sure we have those guys for at least 2 more. Until yesterday KG has been great.

The next thing we need is a young athletic big, Ibaka like, to replace Perk. And then solid wing depth.

I think the future is really bright and with Rajon needing to score, he is going to.

He was in the zone last night. It's unfortunate the Celtics lost, because Rondo played his heart out. I just hope Rondo can keep that momentum into game 3.

We are lucky to have had this group of players to root for over the past 5 years.  I'd even go further and say this team, since Danny and Doc came aboard, has been one to root for, in good times and bad, because of the character of the team.

This year they have proved all the doubters wrong.

This team has gone through a lot this year.

They've consistently come back and never quit no matter what hardships they've had to endure.

They may not always play great or even good but they give it everything they've got.

Do they have enough bodies is the question.

I'm extremely proud and impressed with this team.

And we're still not done.

Go to BOS and take the next two games and get some momentum going back to MIA.

I really believe a lot of the emotion we've seen from Rajon recently has been a tough fight within himself, where he knows he has to score now. The time has come. He has tried to make it work with this beat up crew, kept them involved but he knows he will lead them to losses unless he starts scoring and he doesn't want to play this way, with him being the primary scorer. But he had to, HAD to evolve to this moment. He can become the single best player in basketball if he hits those jumpers of varying lengths, starts getting the respect from refs that he deserves, that he did NOT get last night, and makes those free throws. Imagine him as a 85% free throw shooter.

Don't be discouraged folks. We have Rondo and Rondo is emerging. Is this real life or a video game? Its hard to tell the difference

I think every Celtic fan all over the world has nothing but pride for this team. They fight against everything and refuse to go down.

Staying late/getting up early to watch this team is a privilege, and I can only hope the Big 3 stays together for another run, with Rondo, Bradley, Bass, Green and whoever Danny brings in. Our veterans are key, and Rondo has shown he can be the best player in the League.

We just need some young athletic bigs to abuse teams in the paint instead of getting abused. Rondo is this era's Cousy, and we're waiting for our next Bill Russell. I know there'll never be another Bill Russel, greatest player of all time, but you get what I mean.

This team is building on the great Celtic tradition. Bob Cousy, in the "I'm a Celtic" documentary, says this Celtics play like Red's teams, and they should follow Red's way of loyalty and team ball.

There's no team like the Celtics.

I am proud of this team and at least we don't need the refs to win.   I can't say that of MIA.
