I posted a topic after game 1 with a lot of censored profanity and ad hominem attacks to groups of individuals. For that I apologize. The fan part of me got over the rational part of me. I don't think I'm going to get this angry over basketball anymore, I've seen everything over these two games.

But I'm not conceding. The refs SUCK!

I still stand by that the refs messed up game 1. Sure, we beat ourselves and it was a uphill battle because of the no-show but the refs made the slope that much steeper. Vertical.

I'm just curious. Who here still think the refs had nothing to do with it and that the Heat are still a better team?

I voted changed the outcome of Game 2.  I wrote this in another thread, but my biggest problem with officials are not the missed calls but all of the other ones.

You have to let guys play in the playoffs, these games mean too much.  Let the touch fouls go.  You can't foul out 3 guys on one team.  You can't send one guy to the line 24 times.

They changed the outcomes of both games.   But we would have lost game one regardless as we were outplayed.   Last night, I thiought we were robbed after a tremendous effort.  But anytime you get one team in foul trouble and the other team free shots at the line it is a huge edge.

They do let MIA play but for some reason they don't let us.  It has to be disheartening to show up and know the odds are really not level and stacked against you.

Someday a new NBA star will appear to replace Bron and he'll get 90% of the fouls called his way too.
Lebron will be a washed up old man sitting on the bench at Portland or New Orleans wondering how did he ever pick up those 6 th foul. What goes around comes around.

Just the way the NBA works .  The refs give the top FIVE players benefit of 90% or better of the calls.

It just sucks when you have a better team than the team the STAR is on and can't win becasue the refs control the game.

I would argue with Stern that this is really not in the best interest of the NBA to do this.

NASCAR did the same for Dale Earnhart , extended cautions so he could get his car fixed and back into the race. ect.

Shades of professional wrestling.

Miami took close to twice the foul shots as Boston. The King is out of control a lot  on offense and defense smashing everything in sight. Sports is crooked. The Players themselves are users of whatever and Stern and Company are facing hard times economically. Half the teams are losing money. When there is this much $$ around there is dirt.

Refs have been biased against the Celts for a long time going back to the Bird Era. I'm used to it. In most games the Refs have to justify their presence. A lot of Refs are on the take.
When there is a Premier Player like James from a big Market the NBA wants him in the Finals. No doubt about it.

What I do not like is when Doc and Ainge soft peddle around what happened in this 2nd game. So screw em. If they don't care enough I don't. I don't watch games live anymore. There are better things to do than watch crap like this for 3+ hours.

I can understand a missed call here and there OR a 50-50 call going against us, like the wade kick to kg.  That was both an offensive foul and a kg foul, flip a coin.  However there were quite a few questionable calls in both games and miami vs indy.  Stan Van Gundy and other announcers are noticing it and talking about it during and after game.  The FT difference in this game was HUGE.  Think its a close game if the heat shoot twice as many free throws as the celtics?
Rondo hit in the head was in front of 2 refs and very noticeable.  First game rondo and pp were hit in head on drives for no calls.   :'(

Some people just refuse to admit how much the refs can affect a game for our team.

Its either :
A. We got blown out the refs didn't make a difference

B. We only lost by one basket all the Celtics had to do was get one more rebound or not have that turnover.

C. We won the refs weren't bad

I was talking with my oldest son who watched the game with me, and the shocking thing is that even HE said that he is having a hard time trusting the officiating....and even MORE shocking is that many of his teenage friends see it, too.

The biggest issue for the Celtics last night was taking to long after half time to adjust to the changes Miami made on offense.  They found a way to get Wade free of the double teams and it allowed him to get going.

The officials were not good last night.

That blown rondo call was the game...if rondo hits the free throws they could win..but I knew they would lose after that call.

The officiating has been rediculously biased towards the heat this whole run

Tough tough tough missed calls.

FTs and 3pt shooting kept the Heat in the game and eventually it was just too much to overcome.

Forget the myriad of other horrible calls, and questionable calls.

The missed call on the Rondo drive was absolutely the game.

Instead of Rondo on the line in a tie game shooting to put us ahead, the Heat get a transition dunk the other way.  That's a 4 point swing with 1:30 remaining in OT.

Up 2 after those FTs (is there any doubt he would have cashed them the way he played last night) with a chance to set our D I think we're STRONG favourites to win.  Even if they get a bucket it's a tie game with 1 minute left.

People who complain about getting one more rebound should realize that by fouling out Pierce, the refs essentially forced us to put rondo on Lebron which makes getting that one rebound a whole hell of a lot harder.

Fun Fact:
Here's the list of made FGs by the Heat in the 4th quarter: Miller 3,  Chalmers 15 ft floater, Battier 3, Haslem 17 ft jumper.

If you are Lebron or Wade you must wake up every morning with a big smile on your face whistling down the street.

What could they possibly be mad about? They are the beneficiaries of every call. What could they ever be upset or complain about? It must feel good and must give them and INSANE amount of confidence to know that the refs have their backs.

Drive recklessly to the rim they benefit

Dive for loose balls they benefit

Play rough aggressive defense they benefit

Take as many steps as you need to get the shot off you benefit

Challenge every lay up you benefit

What do those guys have to worry about? Meanwhile KG has to hold back on defense,  Paul Pierce blatantly is not allowed to play as physical defense as lebron is allowed on him,

Just imagine being able to play with such reckless abandon and not have to worry about getting in foul trouble let alone fouling out. It would be alot more even if KG and Pierce were given this leeway but they aren't

The Herald calls it out. So many writers are unwilling to hit on this blatantly obvious subject.

Mind if I ask what team they support?
