This is getting pretty predictable, they should have to show the balls being picked LIVE,this is pathetic!

yea seriously, I don't get why they can't show the ping pong balls being picked like a regular lottery drawing.

There can only be one reason...

Exactly. Why the secrecy? There should be no problem showing it publically unless...

Well, the reason is because the lottery drawing is boring as all heck.

They draw four numbers for pick #1 (i.e., no reverse count down).  That kills the drama.  Then they match those four numbers against 1000 possible combinations.

Then, they draw for pick #2.  If the same team gets the #2 pick as the #1 pick, they draw again.  And potentially again.  And again.

Then on to pick #3.  Rinse and repeat.

It doesn't make for the best TV.  Plus, there are team officials, as well as the certified accountants, in the room witnessing the whole thing.  Also, I know in the past it's been videotaped (just not streamed live).  I watched part of it one year (maybe the year the Raptors got Bargnani?) and it sucked.

Gotta love the NBA, where one of the most likely draws occurs and it's clear evidence of a conspiracy.  Look like Ernst & Young and all of the team reps in attendance once again were somehow duped.

He posted this in a thread entitled What if the Hornets win the lottery? He didn't exactly go out on a limb.

Considering how many posts about lottery there were, someone was going to "call" it.
