I have a hunch about the Celtics and Hornets getting involved in some kind of trade, but not if they get the number 1 pick....More like if they get the 3rd or 4th pick.
care to elaborate?

Only player C's have that would net them the #3 or 4 pick would be Rondo.  I wouldn't move Rondo for a pick.

I'm definitely rooting for Cleveland. They deserve to have a good team again after LeBron screwed them over, and a Irving/Davis combo would be amazing to build around.
no thanks.  they got their #1 already.  also don't need another good young team developing in the East.

My thoughts exactly.  No desire to see Cleveland take home 3 #1 picks in a decade.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari

Don't forget they also had the #1 to get Brad Daugherty.  going back a ways but even less reason to root for them to get yet another top pick

Unfortunately I can't, since it's just a case of wishful thinking induced intuition.  Not really so wishful though since I'm a Rondo fan and you're right, he would need to be involved, unless the Celtics gave up Bradley and our 2 picks plus Bass, or something.  I'm a huge Bradley fan also though, and his injury/surgery surely hurts his stock.  Anyway, I want Gilchrist.  That's how N.O. popped into my head since pre-lottery drawing they're in the 3rd spot.  That, Bass is from there and Rondo to N.O. has been discussed once prior.....

a bunch of nothing.

I think Cleveland could be scary even without the number 1.  Two good rookies this year, one lottery pick, 1 late first rounder, 2 early seconds, lots of cap space ...

1.  Irving
2.  John Jenkins (24th pick)
3.  Kid-Gilchrist (3rd pick)
4.  Tristan Thompson
5.  Camby or Kaman (FA)

Bench
PG-  Delonte (FA)
SG- Parker, Buford (2nd round)
SF- Walton, Casspi
PF- Varejao, Hanrangody
C-  Erden, Ezeli/ Melo/ Sacre (2nd round)

Stern would love the Nets to get Dwight Howard to help open up their new building. They'll get the pick and I'll be shocked if it isn't traded to Orlando for Howard. Thus giving the nets Howard DWill and Gerald Wallace to build around. That new building in New York could make a ton of money an I'm sure Stern wouldn't want that to ever happen at the expense of p---ing off perrenial money makers such as the Hornets and Blazers and Bobcats....

I like this thread. I bet the Hornets will win it, Stern making up for cp3

I actually want to change my opinion. It would make the most sense for the league money wise if the Nets did get it...

That would be something if they got it with the pick acquired from the Clippers in the CP trade

Grantland posted an item about it like 2 hours ago;

Essentially, you can come up with a somewhat feasible conspiracy theory for every team in the lottery.
