They have something like 1.3% chance of winning.  If they get it, are people going to question whether Stern has a hand in it?  I can't imagine Charlotte winning it- the NBA doesn't really benefit from a successful Charlotte franchise.

My guess will be the Hornets/Nets/Warriors as they stand to benefit the most.

Don't think the Nets will pick their 1st rounder from Portland. The Nets will be the next Clippers. Deron's going to leave, Humphries is going to leave. They'll have draft lottery written all over them for the next 3 years.

the cavs got kyrie irving the # 1 pick year after Lebron left . I fully expect either New Orleans(so the NBA can sell the hornets) or Brooklyn( so Deron stays with Brooklyn and sells out the arena with Anthony Davis for the next 5+ years, giving another big market a contender) to win the lottery  ;)

Even with Deron Williams and Kris Humphries they've got lottery written on them.

I have a hunch about the Celtics and Hornets getting involved in some kind of trade, but not if they get the number 1 pick....More like if they get the 3rd or 4th pick.

north carolina has a huge basketball base from the colleges, and is a very populated state. a good charlotte team would benefit.

Tom Benson already bought the Hornets but...well Bill Simmons explains this better.

I hope Charlotte wins it.  Such an empty cupboard of talent.  Need a big impact player like Davis.

After that, Toronto.

I'm definitely rooting for Cleveland. They deserve to have a good team again after LeBron screwed them over, and a Irving/Davis combo would be amazing to build around.

13.7% chance of winning it.

They're number 4 and 10?

Their pick and the Twolves pick (from the Clippers, via the CP3 trade).

They won't win.  I don't think Stern will reward such overt tanking...

They'll pick 3rd or 4th

So they could go 1 and 2?  That'd be something.

no thanks.  they got their #1 already.  also don't need another good young team developing in the East.
