  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Deke was definitely a guy I had my eye on, maybe not right away but later 4 shore.

First pick I didn't like, and I even think I don't have to elaborate on why.

Though it's not like you can go wrong with Mount Mutumbo

Yeah there are negatives for sure. He's not a two-way player, he's not a talented offensive player at all. Everyone else this round has near MVP talent, or championship experience, or both.

But, if Bahku drafts with a real plan I think it wOupd turn out. Mutombo wouldn't have lasted long tomorrow.

Was dreaming of pairing Mutumbo with Dirk.

4-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, 2-time NBA Rebounding Champion, 8-time NBA All-Star, 3-time All-Defensive First Team, (and 3-time Defensive Second Team) ... a superb defensive core to build around, and a physicality and temperament that I much prefer over Dwight, though he's not the scorer Howard is, obviously. Personal preference as always, but I'm happy with Deke ... very few defensive starters on this board that compare, IMO.

How long does Syfy have till?

Deke is an interesting way to go. Nice defensive anchor. Bahku may be going all defense, who knows? So many ways to build in this game.

No argument from me on it Bahku. I selected Pippen. Pippen's not as one-dimensional as deke but he's far from the classic alpha, and more famous for his defense as well.

Scottie's a great defensive core to start with, and a superb complimentary player with almost anyone. Love the pick.

I was thinking noon. If you want to leave two names with me, I'll make the pick if you can't.

Can I just say that the historical draft is hard. I can't imagine the entirety of the league as a talent base. There are just so many teams floating in my mind. Like a million. I think I know who I'm taking next round, but that could change. But my second and third choices completely shift the team I'm thinking of. But that different team is still cool and worth assembling!

No. You can't say that. I'm sorry, there's a law.

It's, by far, my favorite draft of the year.

Challenging and very subjective but fun as heck.
