I'd say I'm a bit shocked that Kobe fell that far but, then again, he is a Laker.

This is actually why I considered resigning as a panelist: I'd have some real concerns about Kobe's ability to gel with other players, will be interested to see the argument for him.

Not that I want to pump up Kobe or another GM's team, but wow many more reasons do you need dude?

This is a completely different format.

In a standard draft pool his value would be incredibly high. But when the draft pool is filled with all stars, I don't feel the same way. He's going to need to get the best out of all his teammates and I'm not sure he can do that.

Value of a player can change based off his teammates. For example, in this format I think Lebron actually becomes an even more valuable player. As his questionably 'passive' nature in the clutch can better be hidden by a team of more willing and capable teammates.

Lol well I could probably go on and on about why I disagree, but screw it, Kobe ain't on my team!  Therefore, he's a loser.

But p.s., everybody on my team will fit perfectly in this format and come together like Voltron  ;)

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I'm pretty sure I hate Kobe as much as anyone here does but it's crazy that his talent would drop to my pick.

5 rings, 14 time All Star, 10 All NBA 1st teams, 9 All NBA Def 1st teams, 5th in points all time....and....he's teaching Jerry Rice how to make no handed catches!!

Welcome to Chicago Mr. Mamba!

In my mind, there are really only 2 major drawbacks on Kobe.

1) In any of his championship seasons, he was never the MVP. So when you're picking a year for him, you're probably picking a year when he won (probably his Finals MVP year), but maybe not when he was at his absolute peak.

2) He's a volume shooter whose usage rates have always been so high, you need to be careful who you build around him with, as much as you would with a guy like LeBron.

That was gonna be my second choice as well. Would have been nice next to Wade. He is the ultimate Robin. Still as the number one guy? I can't wait to see your arguments for this IP!
