I tried posting on this nba blog:

http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/05/29/rondo-talk-doesnt-faze-heat/#comment-279829

and my first comment was deleted. I did not say any profanity. Just typed in that the NBA is looking like a conspiracy and that Game 1 was rigged to favor James. And that when will the NBA call Lebron for travelling and Wade for palming the ball.

My comment was deleted.

Sheesh, i guess stern doesnt want to hear any bad comments on his anointed gorilla.

haha this is too funny good old Dictator Stern. NBA... Where freedom of speech happens (if you want to get fined... or your comment deleted)

I find it deeply alarming that Stephen A. Smith's rant on the refs has been pulled from the ESPN site. Why aren't sports media people talking more about this? Given the many forums of new media today, I think Celtics fans should make a lot of noise on blogs, Twitter, etc., about this. Many will dismiss us being angry about the calls as homerism, but to pull a video from ESPN suggests something far more sinister.

NBA is a private business.

If I ran a diner and someone walked in and put on my community board that the burgers were made from dog and horse meat, I'd kick him out and ban him for life, and take down his comment (or, have it framed if it was really funny).

There is no 'freedom of speech' on the NBA's web-property, anymore than there is freedom of speech here.

Shame on ESPN on this one, they aren't owned by the NBA but America's entire news system is pretty weak nowadays.  However if Smith wants to make a fuss this is free speech issue easily.

Yeah I am a bit surprised that an independent news organization such as ESPN would hold itself to those standards

Yup, pulling Steven A. Smith's commentary is a big deal.

It shows a league that lacks confidence in own product, a continuing tendency to treat fans as idiots, and a spineless network.

Props to JVG for calling out the officials on the delay of game technical too. Mike Breen said "it's in the rules", JVG responded with "yeah, so is traveling and carrying the ball".

Yeah, even though JVG is clearly not a huge fan of the Celtics, I think he's probably the funniest commentator working right now.

Can we trade Shaq for JVG on Inside the NBA?

I'd rather get rid of the great liar on ESPN and ABC...earvin brings absolutely nothing but narcissism to their telecasts

VanGundy, along with Hubie Brown are the two best NBA commentators we have right now on national TV. VanGundy is the only one not walking in lockstep with the league.

Bring Stan VanGundy on board to replace the narcissistic liar and keep Jeff VanGundy right where he is.

That the NBA...Or anybody else for that matter..Sees steven i smith as a credible enough source to delete his opinions...Is in itself scary.

I used to like Hubie, but he offers so little of substance nowadays.  Takes too long to make a point, or makes the same point for too long - nowhere near the insight and clarity in communication as Van Gundy, or even Kerr.

I miss Kevin McHale too.  Shame he got that job in Houston.  He was made for broadcasting.

I hope Doc ends up in a booth again at some point as well.

love that ESPN NBA home page now displays a huge picture of KG fouling Wade & a new story line about the dirty play of the Celts.

Smear campaign in full effect.

I don't even want to watch this game tonight; miss watching the worlds best athletes getting to compete...
