The Celtics need to win 4 games, not all 7.

We are an older, beat up team.  Most agreed if we were to win these 4 games, 1 or 2, maybe even all three of the losses may look real ugly.

Consider this one ugly loss.

Do I really believe that the Celtics will win this series.  Honestly, No.  But I do think they have a chance, and tonights loss at the very end of the day, is still just ONE loss.

I love this team, it'll be a sad day that they are split up but for now all I can do is root. They frustrate me, but I still think there is always something holding us down whether is be officiating, health, whatever it is.. I wish we could see the 2011-12 Boston Celtics at full strength right now.

Yes!!! TP

I wanted to start a thread because after a bad loss there is so much negativity on this blog. Don't cry about refs and how Rondo blew it for us. I find it ridiculous how much blame is put on Rondo for a loss. Looking at the Latest Forum Topics I see three threads starting with Rondo. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for being so hard on the kid. It's like when we win everybody is praising him and when we lose he gets the backlash for it. Blame the team not Rondo!

I'm not happy or mad. It's game one at Miami two days after a game 7 win. I'll hold off really taking much from this until game two.
Peace through Tyranny

I don't think game 1 will change the outcome of the series.  After the short turn around from game 7 almost everyone expected a heat win.  I think the game came down to more of the C's playing poorly, that the heat just killing us.  We did a decent job on wade through parts of the game.  LJ is gonna get his, it just isn't a question.  When Mike Miller and the other role players are hitting 3's that is where we are going to get killed.

We have got to have someone on the bench step up and give us some good minutes and scoring punch.  Steamer did well today, but it wasn't enough.  MP, KD, MD, someone needs to come off the bench and help us score.  If we can hold miami to around 85-90 we can have a chance to win every game.  Just gotta find some points somewhere.  All is not lost.  good thread!

another positive from tonight, only 8 turnovers.
that is awesome considering miami's D.  We need to copy that every game.  Taking care of the ball is primo against the heat.

oh and yes KG is a beast.

Doc does have to do something about this Bass guarding Battier, KG guarding Mike Miller non sense.

The one time it's ok for him to go a little small, he doesnt  ???

The Miami Heat got 11 blocks.. With fair officiating, it won't happen again. That's a positive! :)

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
There wasn't a real expectation from me that we'd win this game. My hopes rest on Wednesday, and I'll be at my lucky bar, in my lucky bar seat, ready to roll.

It ain't a series til the home team loses, and the Celtics will make it a series on Wednesday.

we played bad in the second half and Mia played well. Not only that but we expended very little energy losing today. So if we were gonna lose today this was the perfect way. Im not even worried about it.

We'll be better next game.

Going into game 7, no one thought we would be in any shape to win game 1 in miami if we were to beat the sixers. All in all, I think we did ok, and will do much better in game 2. We will make this a series before it's all over. I kind of like miami being overconfident after this game.

I agree with you. I knew they weren't gonna win this game and I'm not even all that mad about this loss. I just hope they see this loss as a lesson, learn from it and hope to win game 2.

Pretty much what I expected for game one. I didn't think we would have the legs that the heat would have after their long rest.

I expect a better game 2.
