Their bench is garbage. So is ours. Some nights benches step up...Sometimes they dont.... Tonight, Miami's bench stepped up. Plain and simple.



And yes, Battier started.

The Heat bench is garbage. That 34 point blowout against the Wizards is proof of that.

The problem is they show up at random times in the playoffs when they have been invisible throughout most of the regular season. That's another reason the Heat aren't very well liked. Their role players suck in reality, but for whatever reason they play like if they're as good as the Spurs bench when they're clearly not.

We have by far the worst bench in the history of the world of basketball. Period.

It is bizarre to see someone include a bunch of name calling while also making a preposterous claim about our bench. Why are you getting so worked up about other people's claims when your claim is so nonsensical? Did you think this is the ESPN troll friendly forums where people just like to yell at each other with no meaningful content?

I'm not sure why the bench became such a big issue for some. How many guys do they really need to contribute? If Miller, Haslem and Anthony are ready to contribute, how much more do they need when their main guys can play so many minutes? Their bigger problem is that everyone besides their 2 all stars are so limited in what they bring to the game. That is why Bosh is so missed. But if Battier, Chalmers and Miller hit their jumpers, Miami will win since we can't defend everybody when playing against Lebron and Wade. Hopefully the shots don't fall every game.

I post the way I post here because I get extremely frustrated when people make ridiculous comments about far superior competition. I'm all for rooting for our team and wanting them to win..... But you have to be realistic.

Miami has role players capable of stepping up and scoring They did tonight. We don't.... And if their bench is weak, and ours is weaker.. That's not good enough. Because their best 2 players are better than our starting 5. You gotta make up ground somewhere, and the bench is not it.

There was a lot of talk about how bad their bench was.... In reality, it's good enough for them. OUrs isn't.

Ah, man, you were just waiting for a chance to post that. What's the point in watching the games if you don't think the Celtics stand a chance? It's the summertime, there's like a million other things you could be doing instead of wasting your time - because in reality that's what you do when you watch a team you don't even believe in! And don't give me the whole "realist speech". They play the games for a reason, you know? We're down one game but there's a new game soon and a new chance to get a win. I have low expectations (because we are so banged up) but again, why not sit back and enjoy? They still have to play the games and every game starts at 0-0. "Never underestimate the heart of a champion". Go Celtics!
