  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Quote
Game 6, 2002 Western Conference Finals

The Kings had been eliminated from the playoffs each of the previous two years by the Lake Show, but this was their year.
Sacramento had a 3-2 series lead and homecourt advantage in the series. Then Game 6 in L.A. happened. The Lakers didn’t make a field goal in the fourth quarter from 6:51 to :52. It didn’t matter because they went to the line 27 times in the fourth quarter alone. At one point, Kobe Bryant nearly broke Mike Bibby’s nose going for a loose ball, and Bibby was called for the foul. This game was dragged through the mud again in 2008 by ex-referee Tim Donaghy, who alleged in court that two of the three refs were acting on behalf of league orders. The Lakers finished the Kings off in seven before completing their threepeat

I think you mean we've seen it happen for LA.

The 2010 finals were complete BS as well.

Wow, Laker Fan! You ought to retire now with the satisfaction of having more Tommy Points than posts. Thank you for stopping by.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Wait, give the OP another TP before he retires. Can always respect a guy who calls it like it is.

I'd be rooting for the Lakers if they were playing Miami. Anyone else...?   :)

But again, TP, thanks for the post and for calling it as it is.

Great win green. I have no doubt you guys will take game 4 to even up the series. Those clowns from Miami are overrated.

And with that Tommy point, a Lakers fan now has the highest TP/Post ratio in the history of CelticsBlog.  There's gotta be something wrong with this picture.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I hope you're not trying to jinx the Celtics with this post... ;D

TP anyway, but Game 4 is gonna be extremely difficult. Let's hope the C's can win this one and make it a series...

No jinx here.

Like I said, I may despise you guys, but I surely respect your team and organization. The same cannot be said for Miami.

Game 4 will be tough, no doubt. However, you guys have the squad to get the win, especially being at home.

Green should be up 2-1 had it not of been from the robbery displayed in Game 2.

Good luck.

As much as I dislike your organization, I must give you guys credit for making the ECF. Well done.

The main reason I made an account, was to wish you guys the best against Miami (I can't believe I'm actually rooting for you guys). While I dislike the Celtics with a passion, I surely do respect your entire team and organization. I feel your organization represents basketball to its purest form. You guys do it right; old school, grit, and real team ball.

I think it will be a tough series, but I have no doubt you guys can advance if KG continues to play the way he has been. Rondo has really matured in my eyes and is really a leader now. Everytime I think of PP, I think about the wheelchair incident...nevertheless, he is a baller and will always be a scoring threat. Ray reminds me a lot of a Reggie Miller, not only because of the downtown threat, but the way he comes off screens to get himself open. Then again, you guys all know this already.

Bottom line is, I hope you guys demolish Miami, but I'll settle for you guys winning in 7! Good luck the rest of the way.

You are a brave man, appreciate it mate!

I just want to say, you guys got absolutely ROBBED in this game. A lot of bad calls/non calls towards the end of the game.

Oh , I 've heard the same from Pacers, Knicks, Bulls fans to .

Simply Lebron with the NBA in his back pocket or vis versa. At least he was on a real basketball team in CLeveland.

cHeat Basketball is like some pickup league event ... not much organization to it.  They don't even need a coach.  Everybody just go out and do their own thing... ;D

I always think of the Lakers like Goldfinger from the old James Bond movie. They are an evil villain, but god-[dang it] aren't they the best/most fun villain you can possibly have? The Heat, though, are like whoever the villain in "Moonraker" was. Not only are they evil, but the whole thing is a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing joke and it's terrible to watch. At least with the Lakers you can respect how masterful their evil plan is while the hero fights against all odds to dismantle it. The Heat are just a few clumsy Roger Moore innuendos away from being the worst thing in the history of American entertainment.
