so thats Andrew Nicholson, Kevin Jones of West Virginia, Mike Scott of Virginia, Michigan State All-America Draymond Green and Detroit Mercy forward Eli Holman

*Blakely says Eli Coleman, but it's actually Eli Holman of the detroit titans. He probably misheard.

With Danny looking at so many late 2nd round PFs, he must think he can get two worthy big men (and a smaller guy) out of this draft.

3J will still have to work his way into the rotation.  He should really shine in summer league--and then may be piece in a trade.

Portland -6 and 11(don't get nj's pick if it's top 3)
New Orleans - # 4 and # 10

I would love to pull off a deal with New Orleans or Portland for the 10th or 11th pick . Not sure our first round pick would be good enough to move that far up though ? I am not giving up Bradley so maybe Bass ? ( not sure if that could work because of his opt out ?)

Glad to hear we are trying to move up. The really nice players seem to dry up about 3 slots before we start to pick. I just hope we aren't giving up both first rounders.

I really think that Danny is trying to create a way so he can draft Austin Rivers. I don't think Danny worries about any issues with father / son - coach / player. He sees a kid who has excellent range and iso ability. Someone who will eventually be our primary scorer which will be needed in a couple of years for us to remain contenders. He may be undersized a tad. But if he is 6-4 that is ok for a shooter with his driving ability. When DWade came out there were whispers about his lack of height and consistency on his jumper for his position. he turned out ok. Now, I'm not comparing Rivers to Wade. Just saying I don't care about the height thing unless he was really 6-1 which we know he is not. It will be interesting to hear what Danny has to include withe picks to move up high enough. It still may not be enough to snag Rivers.

I don't think trading works that way.  The Celtics kind of have to package both first rounders to get a single, better first round pick.

Not necessarily, we don't know how far up Danny is trying to move. He could package one of the firsts along with a second rounder or cash to move up 2 or 3 spots. IMO, the only picks worth both are the top tens.

If it's a 1st and cash, that would be the best option but I'd be surprised if we got off that easy.  I could live with giving up a first and the second rounder to move up at least 4-5 spots.

We need a real youthful talent infusion and 2 1sts this year is a good start on that process.

I'd hate to see the deal made for Rivers.  A talented big man -- definitely.  A SG with flaws, no.

worst outcome would be to give up assets to get a player that would have still been available if no move was made.

I agree, I'd be bummed out if Danny moved up to bag AR.

I think Danny's certain to come out of the draft with one big guy, maybe two.  And I'm fine with him consolidating his three picks into two, in some fashion.

Austin Rivers will become a free agent eventually and a better player than this year.

I really have to give credit to Baby for being able to contribute in his rookie season despite being a 2nd round pick. I suppose the lockout was a big barrier to JJJ having a chance at a similar contribution.
