just for fun:
just read on hoopshype.com that LO would like to play for the knicks.  I just think that would be great! I so enjoyed watching the Knicks lose to Miami and I anticipate that they will continue to be the most over-hyped under-preforming team this side of the Dallas Cowboys, so I'd just be thrilled to have Odom sign up w them. Perfect fit! Head case, celebrity driven with enough talent to grab headlines and score points but not actually win games.
 fingers crossed this goes through!
haha.

I like Odom as a player, and hope to see him return to form. I read these rumors too, and hope someone talks him out of it - Seems like it'd be a horrible fit for him.

Lamar Odom casually polishes his 2 championship rings and his NBA sixth man of the year trophy and smirks knowingly.

"I think he's mistaken, you guys," he says.

Isn't he still under contract with Dallas? I thought I heard that Dallas wanted to move him to free up cap space to make a run at Deron. Wouldn't that mean they are looking to trade with a team under the cap?

I think LO would really really help us, if he could get his head straight.

There are better homes out there for Odom but New York would be a fine choice.

I'd like to see Odom on that Knicks team. Either as a starting PF with Amare as the sixth man (first choice option) or with Odom playing the sixth man role (second choice). Be good for them to have his team-orientated mentality and overall versatility.

I think San Antonio would be great for Odom. Starting alongside Duncan. Gives them much needed defensive versatility / rebounding at the PF spot. A good ball-handler and passer. I'm thinking that would be the best home for him.

Oh, or Miami. Miami would be fantastic. Start at the four alongside Bosh (center). Nice uptempo lineup. Already played there before. That would be really good for him too.

Portland could be fun alongside Aldridge. They are rebuilding their team though. Furthest away from a title. Although, if they could nab Steve Nash to play the point. A Nash-Matthews-Batum-Odom-Aldridge starting unit along with two lottery picks would be one heck of a team. That could work (if they could get Nash to join - or Deron, even more of a long shot).

yeah, can't deny that but I think Phil Jackson and Kobe had a lot to do w that. Still think overall he's a nut who would just add to the circus in NY.. I guess if Phil returns to the knicks then maybe.

If Odom can get his head straight, he would be very good on the Knicks.  Obviously, that is a tall order, but since they would just give him the vet minimum, it could be a steal for them.

If the price is right, I would to.  When his mind is in it, he is a borderline All-Star PF, and he would be great playing next to KG with his rebounding, passing, and shooting ability.

Call me crazy, but I don't see him coming to play for a team whose fan base started an "ugly sister" chant re: his wife.

Of course Odom wants to play in NYC. Isn't that the natural progression for the next season of his reality show?
