Assuming Bradley's done - your stategy in the next round?

Interesting - I'm mainly interested in any strategy that does not have Ray Allen guarding Wade from the get go. I just think that is an absolute disaster for us and creates a massive match up issue. Wade will just waltz by Ray over and over again - as he did last year.

So, for me:

KG
Bass
Pierce > LeBron
in order of preference
Sasha /Pietrus / Marquis > Wade
Rondo
** I'd switch Pierce to Wade on D though. Let Sasha or Pietrus guard James.

I like Sasha's good health and ability to shoot from outside. Plus, if his head's right, he can do some early damage on offense and you end up with more mileage from a less often used guy off the bench, it's a bonus. I think we already know what we'd get from Pietrus, Ray or Marquis at this point. 

They could start Pietrus instead of Bass and have Pietrus check Wade. Slide Ray over to Battier. Assuming Miami stays with it's small ball starting unit. Ray would be vulnerable in the post to Battier but I doubt Miami go to that enough for it to matter.

I wouldn't put Pietrus or Sasha on LeBron if Pierce is there. Neither player is big enough physically. LeBron has had a lot of success against Pietrus in the past and I'd expect him to have a lot of joy against a defender like Sasha.

I think us beating Philly without AB and with a hobbled Ray Allen and Paul Pierce is a huge assumption. I wouldn't look ahead to the next round just yet...I'm crazy nervous about Saturday night.

I believe Sasha Pav is on this team for one reason and one reason only - to defend Lebron.

If we do beat the Sixers and move on to face Miami, I think you are going to see at least 10 min a game from Sasha.  I think Pietrus will sub for Ray and Sasha will sub for Pierce, both earlier than normal in the rotation.

Rondo will have no troubles since he owns Mario Chalmers.

KG will be free assuming Bosh doesn't return.

With no Bosh, I think we match up extremely well against Miami and could beat them.  With Bosh it is a different story, and as someone else said on another post I think we have a 25% shot.

LeBron and Wade are primed to take us out by themselves.

Well we are fortunate that we have good depth at the 2 spot.  Both Pietrus and Daniels are very capable players who in the not too distant past started on contending teams. 

I'm still very upset about Bradley's situation, but we can best sustain an injury at the 2 spot.

Exactly, to be honest I think that with Rondos inconsistent ways, Chalmers has a great chance at outplaying him this series.

Lebron and Wade are a load. Lebron in particular is the best in the NBA. The Heat will be favored. So what. Do you just hand them the series? I won't.

Rondo has dominated Chalmers in every sense of the word since they've matched up with each other.  Rondo's NBA efficiency per 48 minutes has been 24 vs Chalmers 14 and that includes Rondo playing injured the last 3 games of the 2011 playoffs which represent the  2nd, 3rd, and 4th worst games of his career vs MIA.  Without those 3 games his efficiency against MIA since Chalmers has been there is 26. Rondo averaged an NBA efficiency score of 32 this year vs Chalmers 14.  

Chalmers can't guard him and MIA knows it.

My strategy, especially when we have Ray Allen in there, is to play a lot of zone. This congests the paint, protects Allen, and forces them to beat us from the outside.

I also would like to see Sasha on James. Quietly, and in limited opportunities, I've seen him do a good job on him, which probably has a lot to do with him knowing his tendencies well from playing with him for 5 full seasons in Cleveland.

I've also seen Daniels be effective against Wade when posting up offensively. Plus, since Wade likes to gamble in the passing lanes Daniels' quality movement without the ball game could be used for some easy baskets.

Of all the whacky ideas that pop up on this board from day to day, this actually is not one of them.  Ray simply cannot guard Wade.  he can't even slow him down.  So basically, whatever we have to do to take Ray off of Wade, we should do. 

But more than likely, what Doc would do is put Rondo on Wade and Ray on the PG.
