Plain and simple, Philly outplayed us so they won. Simple as that.
Things that went badly for us tonight that really hurt us.
KG and Bass in the first half missed a ton of wide open shots they normally make. If half of those go in, we win this game.
Ray started the game out great, but got into foul trouble. He was in foul trouble all game, but he can hardly be blamed solely for this loss. A lot of people made mistakes. Then there's the 3rd quarter, they had way too many silly turnovers. Because we were missing shots early, we stopped running our offense the proper way. Bass clearly became afraid of his shot. Philly, in all honesty, pretty much was in prime position to lose this game, but we just played bad enough to keep that from happening.
Either way, I expect the Celtics to take care of business in Game 7. Some people can go blame specific players if they want to, and act as if everybody else was perfect, if they want. They can pretend that rondo not being able to get that ball late in the 4th quarter, and letting it fall out of his hands didn't matter. We can pretend that the bad passes, leading to turnovers didn't matter. But they all matter.
I expect the Celtics to get it done in game 7. Why? Because they have to. This Celtics team just seems to like to do things the hard way. I'd prefer that not be the case, but whatever. Suck it up and move on. The Celtics are the better team, and if they play like it in Game 7, they will win.
