Avery Bradley expects to miss game 6

PHILADELPHIA -- Boston Celtics shooting guard Avery Bradley said he does not expect to play in Wednesday's Game 6 of the team's Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Philadelphia 76ers due to the shoulder issues that sidelined him from Game 5.

We do still have Pietrus,  Dooling, rondo amdto Quis (on top of Ray) and Pierce,  Pietrus, Sasha, Quis for Lebron.

We have a lot of depth there. Ideally id like Bradley but having Pietrus, Sasha, Dooling and Quis is a luxury. All play pretty good team and individual defense. Plus with Bradley bum arms and poor offensive production it might not be a huge drop off

I hope we can close this thing out with PHI tonight, and MIA/Indy go the full 7 games.

Perhaps, with that scenario, we could see AB a bit earlier.

Not sure we can beat Philly away without AB. Best case scenario is we pull off the win tonight and Indy pushes Miami to 7. That extra rest is the only way we have a chance to win the East. But...first thing's first...we need to beat Philly, which is no easy task.

As I've said before, the 2-guard spot is where we have our most depth, so we can sustain an injury there best. 

However, as others have noted, it'd be great to get Bradley back for the next round.  Assuming we play Miami, he'd be awesome on D-Wade.

Do any of you know how much time off helps this injury?

I mean, will taking a week off lead to significant improvement, and is that what Doc et al. are hoping for?

Or does this basically mean he's done for the year, because if he can't go now he won't be any better in a week or two?

It sounds like they might be concerned about long term damage to his shoulders if he doesn't improve with rest.

So he could be done.

We aren't beating Miami without him so I hope he isn't done for the year. Wade would destroy Allen just like he did last year.

Even setting aside who wins the series this is a bummer. Watching the Wade/Bradley matchup would be the high point of the series.
