St. Bonaventure's Andrew Nicholson works out for Boston and OKC
this week. OKC's long been on him, but C's looking hard w/ 21st-22nd picks. - Woj.
Interesting. I like the kids Post game, Senior in college which means he's mature.. The one thing that concerns me is his weight. The kid is 6'9 and weights something around 236 ibs. That is close to JaJuans numbers. 6'10 220 ibs. The one thing that I like is that OKC is very high om him, definitely not a bad thing.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

The description of him on Draftexpress makes him sound like an Anthony Tolliver type player.

Watch his highlight videos and everything you see will look exactly like Al Jefferson. If he's atleast 6'9 and his arms are as long as they're said to be (7+foot wingspan) I'd understand Danny's interest. Assuming he can get his body to a respectable NBA PF size I don't see many guys in the NBA being able to stop his post game.

The draft express scouting update was written just before Nicholson went off on an epic run for the rest of the year. Check the twitter updates in the left column on Nicholson's draftexpress page, and check his game logs.

He supposedly answered a lot of questions about toughness, and took his game to another level, adding a sick 3 point shot in the process. 19-25 3pt shooting last 10 games of the year. Pretty epic for a big man.

What I most like about him, besides his high intelligence, is that he could be a very good stretch 4, providing room for Rondo and Bradley to penetrate into an open lane.

He's pretty new to the game, and considering how far he's come, I think he'll get very very good at faking the outside shot and driving to the lane, or faking the drive and stroking the jumper.

He should be good in the pick and roll too.

He's already got 15-20 pounds on JJ. JJ might not ever weigh that much in his whole career. Nicholson is somewhere between 240-250 pounds. He started the season about 240, but by the end of the year looked like he lost a bit of it, maybe 230-235 at the end of the year.

I expect Nicholson to weigh 245ish right now. That's plenty big with his 7'4" wingspan.

He might not be a defensive monster in the NBA, but he's as versatile and skilled a big man as you could hope for beyond the lottery.

He's a Canadian from an intellectual family, and didn't know he was an NBA prospect until college. Very humble.

Compare that to another prospect I really, really like, Tony Wroten. He was getting hyped nationally as one of the best 8th graders, so he's got that annoying pampered/entitled thing that Quincy Miller and Dion Waiters also grew up with.

He's going to continue perfecting his game like a science experiment, as he's been doing for 4 years now. He says he has his college life time management down to the millisecond.

I bet he has his strengths and weaknesses down to a science also.
He's gonna pick up all the tricks, and learn how to best manipulate every big man in the league offensively. The big question is whether he's strong enough to get position down low on a regular basis.

the more I here about him, the more he sounds like a good pick.  really hoping Moultrie is still available when we pick (as the most likely decent big man to still be there at our picks -- no, Melo isn't a decent big man IMO).

Moultrie and Nicholson would be a very successful draft

I got to URI and I've watched this kid play multiple times (St. Bonnies is our conference, A10). He's great. He can score in bunches, good range for a big man. Definitely worth taking a look at.

weight and strenght are different, i like nicholson production in college, bigs are difficult to project, he is a 4 year player so he should have had good production.

Funny enough, I also compared him to Big Al.
His post moves is very similar to Big Als.

Yeah ill take a look at some point. I can never get too excited about these sort of picks though and don't watch much college ball.

Im sure JuJuan looked like KG in his highlights as well. Both were seniors on their teams probably beating up on younger guys or other guys who will never make it to the NBA.

I've been thinking about this cat for a while.  He looks like he can really play.

But if he's that good, he won't last.

I say just take best player available and then a project Center like Fab Melo. Hope he turns into a Hibbert or something.

Couple of clips on him:

Man does remind me a bit of Al Jefferson. His footwork, especially in the longer clip, is sound. Looks like he could mix it up down low. Those arms of his seem rather long, too.

Has IMO good NBA size, at 6'9" 245? Seems to have decent range...looks rather polished.

If we do get him, I hope he can help us right away.

Hopefully, that's Jeff Green one day.
