If you are one of the lucky 18.000 souls that have a ticket for tonight's game, just MAKE NOISE. This is playoff basketball and remember, you're a fan of the best basketball organization in history. I remember Larry Bird waking up the crowd BEFORE the games, by the press.
I live in Portugal so SCREAM AND MAKE NOISE for the millions that can't be there.

TP.

Boston crowd has a reputation of being one of the best/loudest in the NBA (for a reason) but I have to admit I am disappointed with the atmosphere at TD Garden in these playoffs.

I watched a lot of playoff games this season and atmosphere in Garden is a lot 'softer' than in OKC, Utah or Memphis.

And I hate excuses like 'team isn't playing good, they have nothing to cheer about, the opponent isn't good'...

Fans should always support their team, especially when team is down and/or struggling in a game.

Anyway, I hope they will prove me wrong in upcoming games

We are right there with those other teams, still top5 in atmosphere. I think it's has been pretty alright this playoffs.

Maybe a one time suprise green/white crowd like OKC have would be cool. Can you imagine the whole TD garden green/white. Sick

I can't see why the Celtics don't do this.

A lot of the people like us who care don't go to the games, it's sad when I see the crowds that the games attract nowadays. There are some diehards in the balcony usually but most people just care about getting a lot of beer and the jumbotron.

I am a STH - Sec 314 Row 1. Crowd was plenty loud.

Boston crowd is pretty well schooled, so if the Cs are not earning the noise they are not getting it.

A few idiots near us do not know the game and are constantly calling for moving screens, traveling, etc. My boys (who play and who I coach) have a good laugh at them every game.

KG said the crowd was ridiculous
http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4693934/kg-the-crowd-is-ridiculous

Quote
Reporter: Kevin, did that offensive foul [Garnett committed] against Spencer Hawes spark the team as much as the crowd?

KG: "I don't even remember. I don't even remember what you're talking about. It was on me?"

Reporter: You were going up against Hawes and they called you for an offensive foul, and the crowd really got back into the game at that point, and you guys seemed to be sparked after that play.

KG: "Man, we're sparked. This ****n crowd here sparks you. It doesn't take much here, man. I have no idea what you're talking about, to be honest. But when speaking about this crowd, it's like plugging in, man. You're enthused for 48 minutes on, from tip on. So I can't see the difference between minute from minute. I feel like every minute I look up I see my family, I see people yelling, I see the drunk fat guy. I can't decipher. I'm telling you, I can't decipher one from the other. This crowd is ridiculous. I love it."
Reporter: What's that feeling like? The crowd getting into it?

KG: "It's like taking a cold shower, stepping into a freezer that's 60 below. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you want the feeling, try it out, come back, let me know.

Yeah, I agree. The crowd has seemed like it is waiting for something good to happen and then it gets going whereas before they were the best crowd in the NBA and they we're jacked up from the opening tip on. We haven't seemed like the best crowd so far these playoffs if you ask me.

I have a feeling being a game 7 and their backs against the wall, the last of the so-so fans are gone. From here on out, we'll get the best Boston fans because Saturday night is game 7 and should we win that, we'll have hated Miami and should they win that, they'll be in the Finals.

From here on out I expect Boston Fan's "A" Game!!!
