People, this is why you don't just viciously tear into certain players on a team you want to win. Bass came up huge for us tonight. And Ray, with only 5 points in this game, had a tremendous impact on this game on both the defense and offensive ends. He has made huge defensive plays, made some solid plays on the offensive end, helped to keep some key balls for us alive.

His 5 points don't even begin to showcase how big his impact was on this game. There were plays that Philly sometimes had and desperately needed in order to keep their momentum going, or stunt the Celtics' momentum, and Ray a lot of times just wasn't having any of it. He cut off their ability to get up some much needed 3 pointers. He did so [dang] much. I'm not even sure how many times it seemed like he was getting his hands on the ball and disrupting Phillie's plays, but he really did a fantastic job tonight.

Bass. I remember people tearing Bass up throughout these entire playoffs. Don't make it seem like you give up on specific players or even the team, because you never know when they might do this for us. And we know Bass is capable. He has done it all season, and in huge games. This game is a shining example of why Doc should never have Bass on the bench late in a game again. Ray and him on the court at the same time does so much to help Bass get that shot. I also liked Bass' focus on the quick, controlled dribble to get himself an easier shot all night.

Stiemsma was fantastic, too. Man, this was great team basketball. Rondo, KG, Ray, Steamer, Bass, Pierce, Pietrus, Hollins, everybody played team ball tonight.

can someone tell me what the bench guys are doing with their "pull-down" motion celebration on good plays ??

not living in Boston, i don't always get all the details

many thanks, sir.

When the Celtics play like this, they are a championship squad.
