Objectively, I'm not sure. Spurs have a huge adavantage in depth, and on the wings, Bradley is more than anyone couldve asked for at the beginning of the season, butane jot mistake, Manu would eat him alive, ray too.

I 'd just settle for getting past the 76er's for right now  and worry about that way down the road.

Seriously.

We haven't even made it out of the 2ND round and we're talking about how we match up with the Spurs? Wow...

If our players have this same mindset, no wonder this series is tied right now.

The Spurs are unreal right now... they're on like a 17 game winning streak and im pretty sure are 28-2 in their last 30 games.
They had some massive run like that the last time round in 1999 too, didn't they?

It could be kind of funny if San Antonio managed to win both times in these lockout shortened seasons. A strange coincidence or some Popovich vodoo/magic?
It would be interesting. I'm not sure, to be honest I haven't figured out yet if Pop sold his soul to the devil to be a good coach because the guys on a whole different level. Wouldn't surprise me if there's some magic going on there 24/7 lol

Absolutely agree...I dont know why some of us fans look to farthest ahead of ourselves...its ajoke and honestly embarrasing.
These threads should be locked and reopened once we get past the ECF...but until then, its absolutely pointless to say we can easily beat a team we might not even face if we dont take care of business in this round and the next. Even I agree I like our chances against the Spurs but heck our old legs are struggling right now against the Sixers and expect the same problems in the next round against the Pacers/Heat.

Clippers are the only team we match up well against in the west.

Spurs, arguably have a better coach and a better in game decision coach than doc rivers.

Much better bench and much better productive starting lineup that NEVER takes games off.

And they have homecourt advantage.

Lakers have Bynum and Gasol whom we can't match size with, and they always play better against us, plus you have the refs always on their side.

OKC have Westbrook and Durant, no way to stop them, Harden is better than our entire bench, Perkins is still good. I see not how we can beat them.

I think our peak is a NBA Final not a championsip though I will be rooting the hell out of myself for the Celtics.

right now it's a very optimistic stretch to think we're getting that far.

we still have to get through Philly and another round against a team (either Indy or Miami) that has every chance to beat us as well (if we get that far)

IF we do make it to the Finals, I definitely want to play the Spurs. KG vs Duncan, Rondo vs Parker, Ray vs Ginobli, Pop vs Doc.  Who wouldn't want to see that.

Guys...we're tied in a 2-2 series in the second round. Don't look that far ahead...

I did open, read, and reply to this thread so I guess I am guilty as well and shouldn't complain but FINALS talk? Really?

I think everyone (bloggers, ESPN, etc.) are underestimating both Indiana and Phili and perhaps overestimating the Celtics for sure and everyone in the West.

I don't think the Celtics match up well against anyone because we have so many holes that can be exploited.  We are winning with gritty performances by banged up veterans, primarily KG (albeit every other game on average).

I am not suggesting we can't make it to the finals although I think it a stretch at this point to consider us the favorite.
