I know we got killed on the boards especially in that 4th quarter.

Why no Steamer, or more of if he played? I dont remember seeing him at all. He could have helped on the glass and maybe them not getting so much offensive rebounds. You know and it's not like Ryan Hollins is some stud. :-X

Steimsma's defense and turnovers have been atrocious in the playoffs, not at all what we need in the 2nd half last night

Anything would be better then Ryan Hollins.

I disagree, his defense has been much better in the playoffs than steamer. Steamer has been terrible on both ends. It could be injury, it could be the fact that he isn't used to playoff intensity. Either way he isn't doing well at all. Hollins isn't great offensively but hes out there to be a defensive weapon and him and kg together create a sort of Lakers twin tower effect which believe it or not works to an extent

I'm really tired of the

"Should we have played Steimsma"

or

"Should Sasha be playing"  posts.... Folks, do some thinking.. Real hard thinking......

If you have to ask yourself those types of questions, do you honestly believe this team has a shot in hell? Sorry, if the W/L comes down to Sasha Patheticvic or Greg Stemcell, we're doomed.

He at least would have made an effort to rebound
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Because that is the reality...Hollins isnt getting it done, Ray Allen has been abysmal and isnt getting it done..are we sure that sasha or steamer is the answer, NO....but at this point I am willing to try other options. If the Sixers are adjusting their game management we should too.

My opinion is Hollins should sit, MP should play more in place of Ray..heck I betcha Etwun Moore might even save us this series as we need infusion of youth against this athletic Sixers team that has found a way to neutralize Ray and KG.

I fear EM has been brought along too slowly and disjointedly to really help in the playoffs.

But Stiemer was in the top seven of Doc's rotation through the C's one extended, good, regular season run.  Having Stiemer play and play well again may be a prerequisite to their bringing their post-season play to that level.  Even if they can get by Philly without him, they may well need him to reach the level of play they need to go any further.

And I expect they'll need to use Sasha too.

I'd let Pavlovic and Greg in anytime, rather than let Ray and Dooling carry us which basically means rolling over to the other team.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Absolutely not. He has contributed nothing in the playoffs and belongs where he is, on the bench.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

What I have seen of Stiemsma in the playoffs has been bad and I agree with Coach. He had a good game 1 vs Atlanta and since then has look terribly slow on rotations, unable to handle the athletic big men the Celtics have faced in a one on one defensive situation(Smith, Horford, and Lavoy Allen have made him look bad), and even his offense looks scared and slow. He's had tons of open 15 footers and doesn't take them and his picks are slow coming and late.

And this perplexes me because the last month of the season Stiemsma looked like a solid back up center. Now he looks to be where he should be, sitting on the bench.

Also, can we please stop with the calls for Sasha, Daniels and Moore as well. The players playing are the right players. Live and die by them. They may not play great every game because of injuries but they will get the job done.

Do you think they're the right players by your own assessment--or because Doc has chosen them to play?

I like Hollins in there.

Pietrus, Daniels and Sasha are virtually the same exact players. I wish Doc would give Pietrus a short leash sometimes if he isn't shooting well and give one of those other guys a shot and just go with the hot hand/whoever is playing well.
