This C's team is a Disgrace!

Never have I dreaded days that they play and they have beaten and thrashed my hope and thrill of watching a a basketball game.

I am ashamed for them and absolutely hope they lose and get it over with.

Maybe it's time to find a new hobby?  If you hate watching the games and are rooting for this team to lose, it might be good to spend your time doing something that you actually enjoy?

yes, Roy, you're right that we need to keep the Celtics fortunes in perspective - but i can relate to the pain and frustration expressed by Shadow.

having grown up in the Russell era - i have this mindset that the Celtics play to a certain level and should be the NBA Champions, at least most of the time.

unrealistic ? probably. but the Celtics franchise is unique.

I don't think you'll ever see another run as dominant as the 60s Celtics again.  It's probably time that you learned to accept that.

easy does it - my comments weren't intended to be taken literally. having said that, i don't think it's too much to expect 2 - 3 Celtic titles every decade, with an ocassional longer run - that would keep the tradition alive quite nicely.

That would be better than the more recent rate--of once in 25 years!

Never in my life have I been so infuriated by a team that plays really well every so often. The way that this team plays, by players who get paid millions of dollars, mind you, to give the fans entertainment have failed miserably this year. They are one of the worst teams to watch when they play badly, ie: no heart, energy, desire, intelligence, finisher. Never have I dreaded days that they play and they have beaten and thrashed my hope and thrill of watching a a basketball game. Hey, I know they can't win every game, but the way they play in these bad losses is unacceptable.  Have you watched the  Thunder or Spurs this year? This C's team is barely a shell of what these teams bring NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT! I am ashamed for them and absolutely hope they lose and get it over with.

Could I interest you in going and cheering for a team like the Charlotte Bobcats where your beefs with a team will be a bit more legitimate??

By mentioning the Spurs and the Thunder, it seems clear that effort is not what interests you. You are only interested in wins.

Don't confuse winning with trying harder or losing with not trying. Desire and heart don't make shots fall.

Learn to accept that sometimes the team will lose and enough with questioning the players who are giving their all.

It's an overreaction, but I'm not going to go so far as to say I'm satisfied with where this team is, either.

This team is FAR superior to the Philly group, and the series is tied largely for effort and basketball IQ reasons, both which should never be acceptable to anyone associated with this franchise.

It's time for the alibis to stop, and the effort and intelligent basketball to return or the season ends this week.

Roy, half the board has been rooting against the team this year, because they badly wanted this team to be blown up. They're in a good spot right now 2-2 with home court I like the C's chances

Between the Ray Allen thread and this I feel like we're in an alternate universe.

Apparently with no training camp, an old core including a tanking starting center, losing our backup center and our backup wing to life altering ailments...Along with an undrafted 3rd string 5 playing major minutes....And 3 castoffs as backup wings...We were supposed to go 66-0 and 16-0 in the playoffs.

I can see where Shad would see us as a disgrace.  

This is the most underachieving team in the history of sports.

Easy TP. We've had our disagreements on whether that "starting center" tanked or not, but I'll give it to you, at least you have perspective.

And on top of all that, considering what happened to Clippers blowing that 22 point lead, let's not act like this is the first time this has happened in the NBA. The question is, do the Celtics get over this and still take this series.

Been a fan of only the Celtics for over 30 years. I stand by my statement. I would rather watch a losing team give effort than this group of HoFs playing as if they are owed the world.
I've watched AND played ALOT of bball in my life and how anyone can bare to watch or appreciate the lack of consistency is beyond me. You have alot of blind faith and misplaced hope, for better or worse, I wish I could be so optimistic.
Reality is you must not be watching the same team I am if you have any hope of this team winning a banner. It's not going to happen, not this year, not the next.
 I would prefer the losing teams of PP and Antwan over this dog and pony show any day.

THREE HALL OF FAMERS Should be Ashamed and Embarrassed

Can't wait till they are gone and we have no expectations again, get players who want to play every game, every minute they are on the court. That will be nice
