This C's team is a Disgrace!

Never in my life have I been so infuriated by a team that plays really well every so often. The way that this team plays, by players who get paid millions of dollars, mind you, to give the fans entertainment have failed miserably this year. They are one of the worst teams to watch when they play badly, ie: no heart, energy, desire, intelligence, finisher. Never have I dreaded days that they play and they have beaten and thrashed my hope and thrill of watching a a basketball game. Hey, I know they can't win every game, but the way they play in these bad losses is unacceptable.  Have you watched the  Thunder or Spurs this year? This C's team is barely a shell of what these teams bring NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT! I am ashamed for them and absolutely hope they lose and get it over with.

Did you watch OKC game 2 vs Lakers? lol OKC won but god did they play like scrubs... only consistent team so far has been the Spurs

Step off the ledge! Part of the reason I stopped coming around here that much is due to doom and gloom 24/7. They'll beat the Sixers and retook home court, so please stop.

Roy, half the board has been rooting against the team this year, because they badly wanted this team to be blown up. They're in a good spot right now 2-2 with home court I like the C's chances

The road to the finals couldn't have been made any easier for the Celtics with all the injuries going around. If Indiana can pull off the upset and we can finish of Philly(I have no doubt we will). We'll be a seven game series with the Pacers away from the finals. We're already half way there and you want to give up and get it over with?!

Between the Ray Allen thread and this I feel like we're in an alternate universe.

Apparently with no training camp, an old core including a tanking starting center, losing our backup center and our backup wing to life altering ailments...Along with an undrafted 3rd string 5 playing major minutes....And 3 castoffs as backup wings...We were supposed to go 66-0 and 16-0 in the playoffs.

I can see where Shad would see us as a disgrace.  

This is the most underachieving team in the history of sports.

what did you expect in a game 4 in philly?.

comebacks like that happens to the best of them, just ask dallas in their championship year blowing a huge lead against Portland in the first round.

This is why I rarely ever post here anymore. It's has become too difficult to ignore these kinds of posts.

Not so long ago I got in a little hot water on here for making a comment about some people on here not being "real" fans.  Someone, very intelligently I might add, corrected me saying that people root for their team differently than others but we were all "real" fans.  While these points were valid, i still can't help but have the opinion that people who start threads like this are not "real" fans.  This Shad fellow is openly saying that at this point he is rooting against the Celtics and that really irks me(unless he's from Philly or LA or something).
Don't get me wrong, I was very upset after the game as well.  Great first half, but things quickly went south.  When Rondo or Bradley went to the bench, everything seemed to go in slow motion.  If one of them was on the court it seemed they would fly down the court and wait for the rest of the team to catch up.  That being said, this is an older team that is also pretty banged up.  I think overall they have been exceeding expectations.  Hopefully this embarrassing loss is enough motivation to carry us through this series and onward.  But whether they play like the first half of last nights game or the second, I'm going to cheer them on and root as hard as I can until the bitter or hopefully sweet end.  
Losing is usually a great learning experience for everyone.  Rondo, Pierce, KG, Bradley, Bass, Ray, Doc, the training staff, etc.  Here's to hoping this losses fueled the engine that drives us all the way to #18!  Let's go Celtics!

unless everything fell the Celtics way in these playoffs (no injuries, no game 4 meltdowns, no sudden declines in a star's abilities) they don't have a legitimate shot at a title. well, everything hasn't fallen the Celtics way - last nite was a great opportunity to improve their chances and they kicked it away. how many more forced interior passes are gonna get picked off before they realize they are giving the game away ?

watching this team has now become tortuous - you just know that eventually, at some point in this round or the ECF or even the Finals, all the weaknesses are going to become too much to overcome. but it will be a slow death because these guys are not going to stop fighting - but we have to watch them get slowly worn down by the playoffs until the season ends and the title window finally closes.

then we are left with some very painful what-if's. this would become the first Celtics championship group not to win multiple titles - and they had great chances in the three seasons since '08.

'09 - Garnett injury
'10 - i still don't want to talk about it
'11 - Danny inexplicably gives up on his East-Leading Celtics on Feb. 24 despite their tremendous momentum & motivation.

Just very painful to be a Celtic these days.
