I'm reading an awful lot of defeatist negativity around here since the loss last night to the Sixers.  I just wanted to start a thread stating that I'm really enjoying every moment of the playoffs so far.

Yes, we haven't looked great every time out, but we are in the second round in a fun series against a hungry, young team, and we have a decent shot at advancing to the conference finals.

I don't know that anyone expected anything to come easy at any point this season.  I can't figure out why we are all of a sudden expected to breeze through the first two rounds.

This team likes adversity, and they've had plenty of it (some of it self imposed).  One thing that I know about them is that they'll keep fighting.

I'm enjoying the whole thing so much.  These guys are fun to watch, they are still in the playoffs, and they are still relevant.  They are not perfect; That's cool by me.  I'll take their imperfections and even embrace them.

Anyone else still psyched about this team, or is everyone still too miserable over the collapse against the Sixers last night?

I'm upset not because they lost, but because of how it happened. It really revealed the flaws of this team and its just disheartening.

I'm also not a fan of (and im not just talking about our game) the blatant favoritism the refs have shown in the playoffs this year. I mean I know the NBA gets more money the more games played but stop being so obvious about it... When one team gets double the ft attempts its just too obvious (both games last night).

Other than that I like the playoffs. I love that the Heat are losing, probably my favorite part at the moment

Honestly? No. I'm not... And if they win big Monday, I will probably be excited again...

But after every loss reality sinks in that this probably isn't a championship contender..

Truthfully, I'm just ready for this to be over... Win or lose.. Obviously I want them to win, but this era is making me too emotional.

It's been 5 years since our last title now. This era needs to come to an end. It's too hard on me to keep believing in them, only to be let down year after year.

Seeng Ray Allens corpse get 30+ minutes a game even though he brings nothing to this team isnt helping things.

These are the things I have noticed so far these playoffs.

1) Horrible coaching and substitutions.

2) Horrible attitude by the Celtics. Mentally Weak. Cocky. Not taking the opponent seriously.

3) Ray Allen is finished as an NBA player.

4) KG's magical streak is over, hes come back to earth and looks old again.

5) Pierce is looking healthy again.

6) Rondo is nursing a few injuries, his back is still hurt and now his wrist.

7) Whens the last time this team played a great game? Twice these playoffs, all the rest they have looked horrible.

Yeah, I am pretty relaxed and enjoying the ride. Things are looking good. They have a great chance to make the NBA Finals. A bad performance doesn't change that.

idk if they have a great chance... pacers or heat in the ECF (if the celtics get there) is gonna be difficult for this team to overcome. And even if we make the finals, a team like the spurs would demolish us right now... I hope I'm wrong and I could be, but the team needs to prove it to me first.

I think they have a great chance.

Not impressed by Indiana and Miami are vulnerable without Bosh. If Bosh comes back though, I'd change my stance (great chance to fair chance). He is a big difference maker for that Miami team.

Its a good point on Miami, I actually think the Pacers have a good in their series without Bosh. Unlike you though I am impressed with Indiana. Deep team, very well constructed. I give Larry Legend a lot of credit there. If Granger picks his game up thats gonna be a very tough team to get through. I'm not sleeping on them

Everyday starts at Zero Zero. It is what it is. Develop a program and stick to it.

Shame on those people that think Ray Allen needs to hang them up. Shame on them.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Every single one of these points is based upon one, single game.  There is no possible way, whatsoever, that any of these statements can be taken to represent anything even remotely resembling a coherent truth about these playoffs as a whole.  This is why we play multiple game series in the playoffs.

TP to the OP.  Last game was brutal, one of the worst playoff losses of the Big 3 era, but given that we have been in the playoffs every year, there was bound to be a bad one or two somewhere in there.  Let's all relax and look forward to watching some good basketball in the games ahead.

So one bad game for kg in the playoffs and he's come down to earth?

As bad as the loss was, its stil onlyl 2-2 with 3 games hca coming up. This team responds well with their backs against the wLl. I expect them to take care of business the next 2 games

I take it that's a "no."  You are not enjoying this playoff run?

I personally think as bad as last nights loss was that its rediculous for all the negativity people have been saying against the C's..

as inconsistent as they have been...theres one consistency. after a loss like last nights they generally come out, regroup and can put their foot on the other teams throat.

we saw this last series. C's fumble away game 5 against the hawks, fans panic, C's come out in game 6 and close them out. C's lose game 2 at home against 76ers, C's come out in game 3 and blow them out.

2 days of rest, coming home to the garden after an embarrasing loss. Im expecing the C's to come out looking for blood against the sixers team.

as much as rest would be nice, im not too concerned. the C's got plenty of rest after they swept the knicks last year...look how that helped them against Miami in the 2nd round.
