Partially Doc's fault

Third quarter, 19pt lead.  KG gets a technical, next play gets an elbow from Brand.  KG tries to get even next 3 plays helped by Rondo forced feeding.  Cs lose focus on game, try playing the game within the game.  Next thing you know, Sixers down 7, momentum already built.  Cs lose.

If only Doc knew his team, and call a timeout right after Rondo's 2nd forced fed to KG.  If only would have freaking see what I saw developing from my home 1k miles away...

performances. He said something to this effect
in his post-game conference.
What he did was just let the guys play and
did not contribute any real leadership. I think
he was just going to let them play it out believing
they know what they have to do, but it was not
the right decision.
Bradley had nothing down the stretch, he should
have been taken out when he lost his shoulder

This is just one of many bad coached games Doc has in Big Games. The Celts themselves have this problem where they just lose concentration. It's part of aging. Now they have to work their arses off because this Philly team is capable of upsetting them. I record all Celtic games now because what's the sense of getting excited over this stuff. If the end result is good I watch. Bad, delete. We are probably the best 3 quarter team in the League.

Three players shot well last night, 5 players played well, and in the 3rd and 4th 0 players played smart, mature, experienced NBA basketball. None. Nunca. Zero.

When you have the opposition in the penalty and are up double digits, you take the ball to the basket and create contact. The Celtics instead tried too hard to make passes that weren't there causing turnovers and took outside shots.

When you have to be going to the hole you run high pick and roll, send the ball inside to the post and push the pace to get something going before the opposition sets up their defense. The Celtics ran double screens for Allen to open up on outside shots and pick and pops for outside shots and walked the ball up the court.

And the Celtics allowed the refs to get under their skin and effect their play throughout the game. And it caught up to them in the 4th.

Doc had limited options as Pietrus, Ray, Hollins, and Dooling, his 9 man bench rotation were giving him less than nothing and 3 of his starters were in foul trouble. Doc didn't have his best coaching game but much more of the blame for this loss rests squarely on the shoulders of the players that played dumb and played poorly and shot poorly.
