BillKennedy - 4 point swing, half a dozen times, takes 3 minutes, that's the ballgame; no way to play D, no way to take the ball to the hole; when refs take over a game, everything goes to heck and there's no way to combat it; examples: KG hammered, sideline; Evans held, FTs; Young pass, FTs; Bass moving screen, minimal; Hawes moving screen knocks Rondo to his hands, Williams has 3 seconds for a wide wide wide open 3; KG hammered beginning in Q1: no need to call fouls, the C's are ahead; it continued all game; KG lay-up hammered, no call

when you get hammered inside and there are no calls, you stop going inside, the other team gets confidence, momentum, the crowd, and they keep doing it because why not, they also get transition buckets; when you get touch fouls going around screens and they are in the penalty after 5 minutes, you stop getting up on them on D and the whole game opens up

it doesn't take much and then momentum takes over

Bill Kennedy obviously hates Doc and the Celtics; there wasn't even any attempt to call a fair game

He was the star of the show; he took over the game for the better part of 3 quarters - longer series is good for TV, receipts in Philly, the league etc.  when you have Doris Burke rooting for a close game (why exactly?) you know where the institutional bias is

first time in five years I've heard him say that

in a game where every possession counts, a dozen bad calls, moving screens, touch fouls, FTs rather than side-outs, non-calls etc. - it has a huge impact on the score, it has a huge impact on momentum and runs, and it has a huge impact on how the team continues to play offense and defense

the refs systematically took stuff away from the Celtics before the Sixers did; it's not at all surprising how badly the C's played at the end after 3 quarters and 25+ whistles blown against them, probably half bogus

that wasn't a basketball game; it was Disneyland, where the NBA makes sure that every fan feels validated
