Ray's defense was unacceptable tonight. Could't Doc put a little more trust on our young guy?

Reduce his minutes to zero.

Ray Allen injured = not an NBA player.

Hes a liability on defense, and a libability on offense because he cant even get open for shots anymore.

The problem with Doc is his loyalty to his players can often influence his decision making, and, in this case, he clearly stuck with Ray Allen when he had no business being on the court.
Several of Philly's open shots in the 4th were directly a result of Allen's ineffectual defense.

Yes. Loyalty probably brings good results at times, but it can also bring bad results.  No one's feelings will be hurt, or should be hurt, if he goes with the hot hand a little more often, or if he brings in a guy who's fresher....The team will respond well if he uses the whole team.  We're not playing the Lakers in the finals here.  This is round two against Philly.  Pietrus should have got a few more minutes the other night and Bass should of got a few more tonight.

If Avery Bradley cut off his right arm he would still be a better defender than Ray Allen.

I would of rather had Pietrus in over Ray for defensive purposes. I actually would of gone

Rondo, Pietrus, Pierce, Bass, Garnett....We wouldn't of let up like 15 points in the last 4 minutes like we did...

You guys are forgetting rebounding too. Radio called him on rebounds he should of made and shots he allowed.

Completely agree. Doc puts Ray in there because he's Ray. He never trusted Pietrus or Bass, who was getting his shots back by the way to finish. Clearly Ray is a liability on defense and either Doc failed to see that or just looked the other way because this Ray Allen were talking about, you don't bench Ray Allen.

Well clearly he needs his minutes cut off. Especially when we're trying to protect a lead.

As much as I love Ray as a player, he should sit out this series and come back stronger against the Heat.  Increase MP or Bass minutes because they seem to match up against the Sixers better.

Don't think Ray is capable of getting stronger or better at this point, but I and hopefully Doc knows now that Greg Stiemsma's the last player to get a DNP.

the problem was that avery bradley got in foul trouble, so doc had to limit his minutes.

My buddy and I were talking about this tonight. He cant even get open for shots anymore, he isnt even running off screens... And taking a fadeaway off balance three one second into your inbounds play with 36 seconds left on the clock? What in the world was he thinking?

Did anyone notice both times Ray came into the game in each half, the Celtics started loosing their lead? The first half we managed to bounce back, second half as soon as ray came in, we got murdered...

And whats up with Bass not getting any minutes in the 4th? was he even in at any point in the 4th? Our 2nd or 3rd best player in the game, we're getting killed on defense by the 76ers big men, yet we stay with small ball? terrible.

And would anyone believe that Ray's main purpose in playing was to be a freaking Decoy..Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. is that. Meaning we are playing 5 on 4 on defense because he is pretty useless on D. And stinking on O.
He was a - 24. That is completely unaceptable. I WISH doc would stop this nonsense now and sit Ray.  At this point Sasha is a better player than Ray. He can D and has got range and rebounds well too.  Please could anyone tell  Doc to have the balls to bench ray.    >:(

Yep; Bass is the second best C's rebounder, and the C's were getting killed on the boards in the 4th quarter with him out, and Doc never put him back in.
