They don't play Game 4 until Sunday. What the heck, every team has played games with one day's rest but the Heat series gets an extra day off between Games 3 and 4? You're kidding me right? Why didn't we get an extra day between games?  >:(

Ummm, is this that abnormal?  They probably decided the players needed the time off to refocus.  This happens every once in a while, and is nothing new.  I know Doc has done it before.

A lot of teams skip their media obligations?

Is this allowed,  do they get fined for this?

Keep in mind its one hour, I know the Heat are pretty mentally weak but that's not something crazy

I don't know if they actually have media obligations.  This isn't the finals.  Teams just open up to the media at practices.  If they cancel practice, then media obligations go with it.

Only reason I thought that is that the Celtics didn't have practice the other day but still had the media whatever you want to call it for an hour. Unless the Celtics are just very amicable with things like that I assumed it was required

Did they have a walkthrough or team meeting?  Because that is different.  It sounds like Spoelstra gave his team the day completely off.

This team just doesn't have "IT".

Spolestra's gone after they get kicked out of the playoffs. I wouldnt be surprised to see a Bosh trade in the offseason as well. I looooove seeing these guys suffer.

I don't see anything wrong with canceling practice, but i didnt think you can cancel media too. This whole thing reminds me of a movie and the over exaggerating that the media's doing is hilarious to me.
I remember Joakim Noah said last year that the Heat were Hollywood and they're just proving him right.

I believe they had an extra game before the series too, when the Celtics had only one day between the first series and the second.  It would serve them right to get bounced out after having more rest than other teams.

Yeah, they had an extra day off between the series too. I don't understand how every team is subject to only have one days rest between every playoff game but here the Heat are getting an extra day off twice between games. Is the league not even trying to cover up their Miami Heat love?

Andrew Bynum was fined earlier this week $15K for not making himself available to the media after practice.

Are you trying to set someone up for a joke about how stupid that is because Wade showed in Game 3 that he couldn't hit anything?

I would argue that the scheduling helps the Celtics' chances of winning a title.  They have a chance to go into the conference finals as the team with more rest.  They get an extra day of rest for Game 5 and Game 7 (if necessary).  If you think long-term, Boston is better off with less rest now and more rest later.

Meanwhile, the Heat are being put in a position of being dead-tired if they survive a drawn-out, bruising series against the Pacers.

They are probably just regrouping and getting ready to win one of their 7 future championships.  It was seven that Lebron was talking , wasn't it  ::)

He did hit spols, but he just grazed him and then looked at the ref.
Back to wanting Joe fired.
