Question: one of the referees I've been annoyed with over the years is Bill Kennedy, every time he has a Celtics game I almost know that we're not getting calls. Is his relationships with Doc Rivers or the Celtics organization as a whole something you know about.

Donaghy: That's a difficult question for me to answer because I certainly don't want to offend anybody... I'm just gonna come out and say it like it is.  It's no secret on the staff that Bill Kennedy is a homosexual... I don't have any ill will towards gays or lesbians, but it was no secret that he's a homosexual.  It was known around the league, it was obvious during a game Doc Rivers questioned his sexual orientation and I think that has stuck with Kennedy over the years and he has no love for Doc Rivers and the Boston Celtics

I have not posted in two months, but have to tonight.  Bad refs or not, that was the worst played worst coached second half I have ever seen.

How many times does Doc need to be outcoached in the playoffs for people to realize he is a bad coach?

Doc problem is he's afraid to hurt his stars feeling. Game2 Pierce should have sat out some more. Game4 Ray Allen isn't a rotation player anymore.

This game was won by Philly.  Geez -- it's true that we let up and had a miserable 3rd quarter, but Philly got charged and would not miss in the 4th.  They earned.  It's 2-2 and we still have HCA.  We needed one in Philly and we got it.

I've believed it for a long time.

Wow. sky is falling again... I love Celticsblog.

Horrible game by the Celtics. They clearly feel they don't need to play 48 minutes against the Sixers. They deserve to loose the game, no matter what.

But the Celtics are the better team, and in a perfect world with no Stern biased refs, this game is over at the half. No way the Sixers come back without the Kennedy clown band.

Hopefully the Celtics come to play for the whole game on monday.

Celtics in 6.

Please.

This loss is squarely on the people wearng the green uniforms, who weren't smart enough and didn't have the will tonight to do the simple things that win games for them - attack the rim, move the basketball and in the fourth quarter, just work hard.

How to beat Philly is obvious. To everyone but the 12 guys wearing green uniforms. The lack of pace, the lack of ball movement, the abject refusal to attack the rim until late - all absolutely inexcusable and unacceptable from a team with championship aspirations.

Blaming Rivers and the refs is just looking for excuses to avoid the obvious. We were terrible and Philly richly deserved to win. Case closed.

He has his stengths, but his game-time adjustments are a mixed bag.

I can understand all of the anger we will see towards the celtics from fellow celticbloggers after this game, the way I feel right now is probably the lowest I've felt in awhile, right on par with game 7 of the NBA Finals solely due to the lead we blew, to blow a lead that big and not respond is so alarming. I mean this is probably the last time we will the big three together and a loss like this to a pretty bad Philly team just makes me sick to think about the possibility of the big three ending their celtic careers by losing in the second round to the 8th seed. A team that we should be up 3-1 on right now.

Does Doc think Bass is a rookie?

Tp. Celtics are in control of the series. They let two games slip but they still control the series.
