"I heard they wanted to be like the Dallas Mavericks, in a sense," Wade said about an apparent reference to Pacers coach Frank Vogel using last year's Mavs team, which beat the Heat in Miami for the title, as motivation for Indiana. "I saw their little celebration at the end of [Game 2]. I don't know if they didn't expect to win, but every night we go out on the court, we expect to win."

Wade then was asked about the celebration, but didn't elaborate on what specifically irritated him.

"They say their identity, they say they want to be like Dallas," Wade said. "So they celebrated like Dallas, I guess."

Sometimes I think the Heat thinks the whole world loves them and that they are the good guys and just have no idea the whole world hates them and that they're evil. They have one fan outside Miami.....Stern.

I know. That's what I'm saying. The whole world celebrated when Dallas won. People in Kazakstan celebrated when Dallas won. People on Omicon Persei 9 celebrated when Dallas won. Dead people celebrated when Dallas one. People in interdemensional vortexes celebrated when Dallas won. Those luminous being things, that don't have bodies, because they reached enlightenment and learned what was really important celebrated when Dallas won. Some of their own family members secretly celebrated when Dallas won. Kim Jong Ill was like "ah. I can die now because evil has been defeated" when Dallas won

He also added "Celebrating like you just won the finals after beating Boston last year is perfectly legit and is totally different than what the Pacers did". When asked why it was different he responded "It just is" and proceeded to body slam the reporter who dared question him. He went on to say "That although they expect to win every game, they make sure to cry it out if they happen to lose." He concluded with saying "Acting like men and taking a lose without trying to hurt someone is not how a professional ball player should conduct himself". When asked if he thinks he'll be suspended he replied "Stern's my boy" and winked.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Of course it wasn't called a Flagrant 2 foul, although it should have been and he should be suspended for Game 3.

::)  You act like Dirty Wade has dislocated someone's elbow or broken someone's nose during a game.
We all think we know more than we really do....

can anyone think of an example of one of Wade's dirty plays that didn't involve a player smaller than him?

Just curious.

I don't even want to think what would be of D-Wade if he tried to do that to KG.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

The stanchion would need to file a restraining order on KG before he gets home.

Pffft! I don't doubt all of the others but everyone knows that Omnicron Persei 9'ers are all Bulls fans ..

I'd be on board with suiting up Pacers 15th end of bench guy just to clothesline Wade and take the fine, if I was Bird or Vogel  ..
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

Maybe the 11th dirtiest player in the league (our very own Ryan Hollins) will take care of Wade if we happen to meet them in the ECF. Oh I would love to see Hollins take him out!  ;D

P.S. Where did Dirty Sanchez Wade rank on that list? If he isn't #1 next year I will be surprised.
DKC Dallas Mavericks
PG: Darren Collison
SG: OJ Mayo
SF: Jae Crowder
PF: Dirk Nowitzki/Jackie Carmichael
C: Brandan Wright/Rudy Gobert

I love it. Only in David Stern's NBA do things like this happen.

Devin Ebanks got into a tangle and got a double technical with Royal Ivey the other night. When he complained to the ref he got tossed so he took off his shirt while going to the locker room.

For those actions he is fined $25,000.

Dwyane Wade with intent and malice lowers his left shoulder and while in a dead sprint slams into the back of Darren Collison with for the purpose of fouling him hard on a breakaway foul and possibly to also attempt to hurt him.

For that Wade gets a flagrant 1 foul and nothing else.

How anyone can review that video and the one of Jason Smith from earlier in the year and come up with two separate conclusions and punishments is PROOF of Stern giving favoritism to his superstars and shows there easily could be something to Donaghy's assertions that Stern instructs his refs to do certain things and treat certain players in a certain manner on the court.

oh i agree with you there...i saw it..wade is such a sore loser.....and a loser anyway did you see him complaining all night, most time stopping playing and standing there arms up, crying foul.....sooo weak....right in front of Larry Bird.....how embarrassing and weak......pushing collison, then trying to start more with him when the kid got up...and collison wasn't even in the play at the other end...when the heat go down by 10...the redfs TRY to help them...then the dirt comes out......see how lebron leads with his arm out when driving....WHAT is THAT.....?

This is the type of stuff KG has been doing for years to garner that "dirtiest player in the league" title right?

1. Fact or Fiction: Dwyane Wade should have been suspended.

Tom Haberstroh: Fiction. Although, I've gone both ways on this one. Darren Collison decelerated slightly for the pass, so I'm not sure it was all Wade's fault for the sheer velocity of impact. But I can't shake the feeling that this wasn't a fully objective ruling. I keep asking myself the following three "What Ifs": What if Collison and Wade switched places? What if Chris Bosh wasn't out indefinitely? What if the Heat were up 2-0 instead of split in the series? We'll never know.

Michael Wallace: Fiction. I thought a Flagrant 1 was adequate punishment to fit the crime. As it turned out, that extra possession Indiana got as a result of Wade's message-sending cheap shot ended up costing the Heat in a 3-point loss. I will say this: Had Wade or LeBron been hit from behind like that, my guess is the call would have been more harsh under the same circumstances.

Brian Windhorst: Fiction. It was a cheap shot hit and was properly called a flagrant foul. It would've been interesting had it been called a flagrant-2 foul and they had to review it and decide whether Wade should've stayed in the game. Joey Crawford was all over the play, made the call and the league stood by him. It was proper.
ESPN's take, what do you know the three writers who focus on the Heat all think it was "properly handled".

Jason Smith would like his money back, same action cost him a lot of cash.
