Of course it wasn't called a Flagrant 2 foul, although it should have been and he should be suspended for Game 3.

I don't see how the two plays are all that distinguishable.  The league will find a reason, though.

I hope he doesnt get suspended, i like that foul.  Old school playoff foul.

He got the flagrant, the Pacers won the game, and i hope someone gets a chance to pay Wade back for it - as in Paul George or David West - not David Stern.

That Jason Smith play on Griffin is the exact same play I thought of after seeing this from Wade. Similar play, huge difference in punishment and that is where the NBA gets the reputation that it has received.

PS, how do you actually embed the video and not just the link?

Old days you could go on the court and fight him without being suspended 18 games by the league.

No place in basketball for what Wade did.

Easy:

One was Darren Collison hit by Dwayne Wade.

One was Blake Griffin hit by Jason Smith.

I agree, the plays are not distinguishable and warrant the same penalty, especially since Wade has a history of this.

Wade is a very dirty player who hopefully gets undercut by someone and gets his just reward.

Wade intentionally tries to injure people, to wit:1.RR, 2.Ray in the same game as RR last year only 1:07 after he ripped Rondo's elbow out (Ray got right in Wade's face. How often does he do that?)3. Kobe Bryant on a layup going to the hoop IN THE ALL-STAR GAME, 4. Rip Hamilton got a forearm shiver to the neck and 5. now Collison.

Step up NBA and give him the 2 games that he deserves. Yah sure. ::)

I legitimately hope Wade blows out a knee Joe Thiesman style. I realize this isn't exactly the right attitude to have, but I'm sick of seeing this guy try to take out other players when things are not going his way.

KG gets suspended for an elbow, but Wade gets to try and take out a guy and he only gets flagrant 1. What's wrong with that picture? If I didn't love my team so much, I wouldn't give the NBA another thought.

This is not the 80's anymore, players can't retaliate like they used too, therefore plays like this need to be given a harsh penalty.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Jason Smith was castigated for doing the exact same thing.  That is open-field football tackle, not a foul in basketball.  It should be a Flagrant 2 and a suspension.  Rondo got suspended for love-tapping a ref.  Collison could have broke his neck at the hoop.

Was waiting for someone to post this topic.  That was a bush league play.  How the league continues to allow Wade to get away with this nonsense is beyond me.  He intentionally hurt Rondo last year and he intended to hurt Collison on this play as well.  He threw his shoulder into him (from behind no less) and made no play on the ball.  He should get suspendeded but gutless Stern will give him a pass again.

Also Blake flopped a lot harder than Collison did.  If Collison had rolled around on the floor for a minute the odds they'd've considered a Flagrant 2 go up.  Sad but true.

However, even if that does matter, it should be offset by the fact that Collision unlike Blake didn't even have the ball.

Agreed, also taking a guy out from behind is dirtier than what Smith did, at least Griffin knew Smith was coming at him even if he didn't expect to get body slammed.

I have said for years Wade is a TRUE dirty player.  Being agressive ,hacking , bumping , pushing , elbows , ....I'm ok with all that .  That is what the sissys call dirty .

Wade is a cheap shot artist with a bad temper.  He has the METTA WADE PEACE brain malfuction . Needs meds as well to control .  I suspect thats why SPO ( the nurd ) is coaching , or else the mgmt fears WADE would go LETRINE SPREWELL on a tuff harsh coach.

He hates being outplayed and showup and can't take it , he loses his cool and his low class actions reflex this.

He lashes out in a uncontroled fits of rage. With the intent to to do physical harm , beyond normal hacking and beating and banging.

Wade basically becomes 'UNHINGED" same as a Metta Jerk Peace.

Yeah im wondering why Wade never gets suspended for some of this stuff. Most likely it would wouldn't keep happening at the same rate if the NBA gave one suspension
