Take some advice from Ray Allen. This is pretty much it. Yes, they made mistakes, and don't think for a second that this Celtics team aren't more aware of those mistakes and missed chances than we are. They will look to make the necessary adjustments, and come out to win it big in game 3.

Ray: "Down the stretch, there were 3 shots they made, you almost have to tip your hat to them. When we needed stops, they made those plays."

Just tip your hat, folks. The 76ers hit some unbelievable shots late in the game, and when I say unbelievable, I mean unbelievable. The Celtics are a veteran squad. They'll take care of business next game. They are the superior team, and the superior team will win this series.

When a team scores only 82 points, as the Sixers did tonight, you shouldn't have to get stops late--you should be beating them by at least 10 points. They could've beat the Hawks in 5, possibly 4, and gotten some good rest, and they could've beat the Sixers in 4 and gotten some good rest. These guys just love to make things harder for themselves, and unfortunately it'll probably always be this way with this core.

If at the end of the day the Celtics make the Finals and win the championship, will you care that we didn't have any sweeps? I say relax. People are getting too worked up. Normally I'd be bummed, but you guys gotta keep positive. In a way we are all apart of this. We know the team messed up. We saw how they messed up. They know they messed up.

Let's keep things positive. Believe it or not, Celtics players read this site. I'm not saying we can't criticize them, but some of the things being said are just terrible. It's now a series, and the Celtics will take care of business.

Not being sarcastic at all, but what makes you think they read this site? Ive always been curious about that  myself, so im just wondering if you had some inside information or somthing.. Im sure most of the negative tonality would calm right down if people actually knew the players were reading. Or maybe it would have the opposite affect. But kinda cool to imagine i guess.

TP for the OP.

The Celtics are the better team, but they're not 100% and that evens the series a lot more than we'd like. And the Sixers are playing hard, and probably deserved to split the series in Boston.

Now, we should relax and believe a little bit more in our team and Doc. They'll find a way to win this series.

Go Celtics!

You know, it was a terrible, no good, ugly, horrible loss.  The C's played about as they possibly could have.

It sucks, because they are now in a precarious position. If they lose the next game, they're really in trouble.  Hopefully this was a wake up call.  They just can't help themselves sometimes.  When they know they outclass an opponent, too often they slack off and play to their level.  You'd think in the playoffs this wouldn't happen.

Right now, I'm not ready to get worried.  If they come out next game with focus and determination, they'll win.  It is irritating though.

As if how many games a series will take it is up to them...

We could easily say that the Celtics were lucky to win in 6 and avoid game 7. Good thing they made sure they didn't have to go back to Atlanta. We could say that Philly would be up 2-0 if not for the grit and determination of the Celtics that brought them back in game 1.

Have we developed an obnoxious sense of entitlement since 2008?

I don't think that us as fans believe that we are entitled, but with that being said BOS hasn't had their best game in this series yet, either.

I love Bass, but he is due to start hitting some shots. I know he will, eventually.

We lost to a fine team last night, but we'll get over it.

BOS has 3 chances to take one in PHI - and it starts tomorrow night.

Hats off the PHI. We'll get em' back. But NEXT time we play in BOS, our team will be a bit more aware of what could happen.

I think the Holiday kid is tough as nails.   78ers came to play, hats off to Collins, a under rated coach.

I like it to be a battle.  Atlanta battled us, Philly is doing the same.

I don't think it's much fun when the competition rolls over, and says "the big, bad Celtics are too much for us.  Let's not compete."  Silly.  On paper, we are not even really that much better than them.

I still think we'll beat them.

Go Cs!!!

If the Celtics lose it would be an embarrassment of epic proportions. It would be the worst playoff beat in Celtics history.

Don't tell me the Sixers are good, they aren't.

For that reason alone I am not worried at all. This team is not going to have red sox esque collapse

Last nights effort was poor to say the least.  There was no fire or drive until it was too late.  That'll change in the next game I am pretty sure.

What I worry about is how are we going to score consistently if Paul Pierce doesn't make a miraculous recovery?   I don't see Ray being a huge factor the rest of the way.  He'll have his ups and downs due to his own injury issues.  We can beat this team without Ray being a huge factor but IMO we cannot if we don't get more from Pierce.  Pierce is hurting so I am concerned.

When their backs are against the wall the c's usually play their best...with philly grabbing game 2 there is now some urgency for the c's. I fully expect them to come out guns blazing for game 3

What worries me is they way we have been playing so far in both rounds. If we do advance and face the heat(not a given I know)I'm not so sure we'll give them the run I thought we would going into the playoffs.

It was a good game by philly, but lets not kid ourselves here. The sixers are the 8th seed that did all they could not to make the playoffs and we let them come into our house and win. This shouldn't happen for a team that is determined to make one last run.
Back to wanting Joe fired.
