So...I slept like a baby last night, knowing that the NBA landscape is free, for a time, from the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Now...I must put aside those anti-purple and gold thoughts, and consider the possibility that I MAY have a Laker or two on my roster - depending on how things pan out.

Lord help me...such torture ;D

Edited - double post.

Well I could be doing worse, I could be Rebus.

Wait, didn't he ask to pick last?  I guess I can't be doing any worse.  :-[

Actually though, not a bad spot for a '85-and-on, snake draft.  I see possibilities.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Love the spot :).

But as for the Team?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWaLxFIVX1s

I guess that I could just copy and paste last year's mantra (when I was saddled with the Lakers) for THIS year. But I'll go ahead and just recall it from memory:

Laker fans - I promise to NOT butcher your team in this Historical Draft. I promise to draft well, and build a team that not only YOU could be proud of, but I will, too.

Gulp.

I promise to NOT draft Acie Earl with the first pick.

Disclaimer: Be aware, any lurking Laker Fans, that I MAY draft some Celtics onto my team. Such a move, while vile in some Laker fan's eyes, would in truth make your team BETTER.

Also be aware that I reserve the right to move your team BACK to Minneapolis. Such a move would probably make my experience a bit easier to swallow.

But, sigh, in that scenario, I'd STILL be saddled with "Lakers"....

 ;D

7th.  Pretty solid spot to be as there are about 8-10 players that would be considered all time greats, so I will get to pick between at least a couple.

Hey if you wanna shed the Laker logo, I'll be more than happy to switch teams/places with you. I've got no problem being the heel.

Same team I had in this year's Pick-Two, but a much higher spot, thankfully ... I'm good with middle-of-the-pack.

I'll keep LA. Just trying to insert some humor, here.

I still may move em' back to Minny, though.

I think I'm going to go for a totally unlikeable team filled with ****s and dirty players.  Will make it more fun.  Of course I'm not going to reach just to take an **** so it may not work out.

Yes I did want that spot since I can pick when I get home from work. Can I move Miami to another city? The Minneapolis Muskies has a nice ring. Maybe the Carolina Cougars? Pittsburgh Condors.
Then again maybe the Miami Floridians.

Very interested to see which player Who goes with overall. Also interested to see how the first round plays out.

I'm drafting all Lakers. That will win me mucho votes.
