When does this thing start? I picked my starting 5 in my head last night AND IF ANY OF YOU PICK MY GUYS IMA BE SOOOOOO ANNNNGRY!

Hakeem
Duncan
Bird
Jordan
Magic

There's no reason that that lineup shouldn't last until Round 5.

Oh no, sir. If you know my drafting strategy, I go for the guys you don't think will succeed, and spend my entire time as a GM telling you why you're wrong. Who needs to make the easy choices?
You gentlemen are aware that Bird, Magic, Hakeem and Jordan are all unavailable for this draft, right?

That's what makes them PERFECT selections. Nobody will ever see them coming.

It's why Kyle Lowry is always making deep playoff runs, just so IP can say I told you so.

I stand by Lowry, and my comments regarding him. Before he went out, he was leading that Rockets team to the playoffs.

Not suggesting we make changes, but it would have been interesting to limit the pool of players to guys actually taken with Lottery picks.

We'd all get to fight over the Kandi Man and Uwe Blab.
Yup

I put a list of all eligible players in the OP.

If people want the Excel spreadsheet of that list email me at my email address listed in my member page and I will send it out to you:

WHERE WERE YOU LAST YEAR, REDZ?! I was catching heat left and right for having him start in my fun n' gun offense w/ Russell, Chuck and Nash (shooting guard is slipping my mind).

That would actually be very interesting, especially given there are less than 30 years of drafts, so not a huge selection to choose from and teams would have a lot of crappier players on them.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Yeah, that is a fun idea. Perhaps one for a future CB Draft.

On some lazy saturday in the mid 90s I stumbled upon a Heat/Magic game where Rice went unglued and scored 56 points.  Dude could fill it up.
