Thunders or Spurs

Used to hate San Antonio because of their boring style but I'm starting to like them now because I realized they are the same concept of our team.

I also like the Thunders because of their players (except Westbrick). Their fans are also a classy bunch. Also, that organization have history of trading with C's which brought championship and the unfortunate Len Bias.

Ive always hated this misconception that the Spurs are "boring" for what playing as a team? defense? unselfishness? winning? absolutely never understood it other than I guess Duncan being a pretty boring personality, but who cares? the other misconception would be them being the "same concept as our team" if you have watched them in the last 2 seasons theyve completely rebuilt their system to an up tempo, deep rotation with lots of young players getting minutes, which only recently could be compared to us with Doc taking a page from Pop and starting Bradley.

As for the original question...Thunder because of Perkins and durant but overall hating westbrook makes me lean to the Spurs
Ask any casual fans that don't root for SA and they will say they're boring. They are a great team no doubt, but they lack the explosiveness during their championship run. Too much fundamentals. It's like watching 60's basketball.

You mean before basketball was ruined by prima donna ball hog chuckers? I understand casual fans would rather see "explosiveness" and I agree they think SA is "boring" thats why I said the misconception annoyed me...they've been plenty explosive through the years, and play Basketball the right way

Baffled that anyone would pick the Spurs.

Why?

A great run organization.  Likeable players.  A top 10 all time NBA player in the twilight of his career.

Well they've won 4 titles in the last 14 years that's not enough for people?

Man, I wish the Patriots would get this kinda love!!

I usually root for the Patriots to win if the Giants are not in (or playing for them in the Super Bowl)

If not the C's, the Thunder.  If not the Thunder, the Pacers (love for Larry to get a title as an executive).

The bigger question; would it suck more for Miami to win, or the Clippers?  As much as I dislike LeBron and the Heat, Donald Sterling is a pretty despicable human being who deserves absolutely no success given how he treats people.  I'd rather see Miami win than the Clippers.

Agreed they are far from boring this year.  They were second in the league in scoring during the regular season.
do it

OKC or Spurs.  Well coached teams who remind me of Belichick's teams.  Players keep a low profile and just play hard.

Problem is we'll be playing one of them in the Fianls so I'll despise them then.

still totally don't get why anyone would want the Lakers to win another title.  As a Celtic fan that seems nuts.  You really want them to tie the Celtics in championships and continue to assert their claim to being the greatest franchise in NBA history?  It's bad enough the Phil Jackson passed Red... now you want the Lakers to pass the Celtics?  Ya'll must be high.

I still fail to see why the Heat winning would be such a negative.

I did vote Spurs too but I really will not root for them.  I love the C's.   But the Spurs are the team I would mind the least of winning.   They are classy, play team ball, I like Pop, I respect Mano and Duncan.   They are also the old guard, I am not crazy about the new guard of the NBA.   It is a respect thing for me.

No one around here is rooting for the Lakers.

Personally, I've explained why I root for the Heat to lose.  We even had a short discussion about it.

If you forgot, I'll reiterate.  I prefer team ball to individual hero ball.  The Heat play hero ball, and I don't like it.  It's pretty simple.

You don't have to agree.
